Product could not achieve the 120dB range as stated, which was the reason for our purchase. The product itself is well packed and visually very attractive and of good quality, but if loudness is a priority for your purchase this might not be the right one for you as it only reached 80dB when tested.

Works a treat with receivers in three rooms. No longer an excuse to not hear someone at the door.

How it works: - Plug in the Receiver/Base, pull the battery-protector strip from the Remote, Press the button & hear the chimes. - You choose either adhesive strips or screws to attach the Remote near your door. Both are included. - The Receiver has 3 buttons on the side: -- Setup = cycle through 3 announcement modes: (1) Chime, (2) Silent with LED flash, or (3) Chime with LED flash An Initial press plays current tone. if press again with 1 second, will cycle into the next tone it becomes the default. -- Chimes = cycle through to choose from the available chimes & melodies -- Volume = cycle through to choose from 4 volumes levels, quite soft to very loud Pros: - Both units seem sturdy & well made, with the transmitter supposedly weatherproof to IP33. - A healthy assortment of 34 chimes & melodies are available. - The Receiver has a loudness range of 25 db to 85 db. Quite soft to VERY loud. - the range is advertised to 1000 ft in open, I tested to about 150 ft with 5 walls between them and had no problems. - The Receiver can be paired with multiple transmitters & with different tones for front door, back door, etc. - Came with both units looking fresh & undamaged, User Manual, 18 month Warranty card (extendable to 2 years with registration), battery already in the Remote. - An UNEXPECTED & POTENTIALLY VALUABLE USE FOR THIS KIT… It’s advertised only as a doorbell. However, it seems to me this system could EASILY BE USED for other things! For example, any situation where person “A” needs to notify person “B” they need assistance. One could place the Remote on a countertop in a business or warehouse environment (rather than a bell which has limited distance to be heard). Or, it could be used at home for someone with limited mobility or bedridden who needs to call for a family member or other assistance (who may be downstairs where “calling” may not be heard). It couldn’t take the place of a “Medical Alert” device, and can’t call for Emergency Services; but it would work quite well for general assistance in getting some needed attention. Cons: - Merely that the advertisement states 52 chimes/melodies, and my unit has only 34. (But I think that’s sufficient.) Overall Evaluation: - Seems really well made, has good range & flexible settings that should satisfy nearly anyone.

Stopped working in less than an year - 11 months.

Bought and shipped via Amazon Singapore but item arrived with a US plug so was not usable in SG; returned and asked for a refund as not as advertised.
