great addition to a UV5R
It was cheap. The clip on the back swivels completely around (like the motorola ones do) which is nice. The microphone isn't as good as the motorola but I wasnt expecting it to be. The wire is a little smaller than expected but it performs just fine.I use this with a beofeng f8hp (high powered uv-5r) and it is much better than using no remote-speaker-mic.

Defective
It's unfortunate to write a bad review as I haven't wrote many. As soon as I unboxed it there were issues. The connections are weak and it effects the functionality of my radio and I cannot recieve or transmit messages. The product needs to be re-made.

Cheap and works well
Of course you get what you pay for but the cord is really thin and cheapy and the head is small and cheapy. It does the job and I wasn't expecting anything too good for the price but if you need something fast and cheap that works well then get this!

Need better quality internal components
Breaks very easily...have another one that just broke and only got to use it 1 time with one light bump by accident and the mic dose not work now, just like the last one i had to replace. Outside componets work great and and effectively, its just the internal components...i have had to relplace out of pocket 2 since Sep of last year. If they would make better quality internal components, even if they had to charge a little more, it would be alot more effective and better quality.

Sounds Good/Squeeze Hard to Transmit
The sound quality is good, however the PTT button was nearly unusable where you had to press way more than you should to the point it felt like it was going to break. I opened the microphone and placed a shim between the PTT button and the internal PTT switch and that solved the problem.Overall it sounds great, but had to place something inside the microphone to get it to work correctly.

Advertised as compatible with my Kenwood but...
It would not transmit w/out a lot of static...I returned the Mic...not happy...

Does NOT work with Baofeng UV-5R Family of Radios
Unfortunately these speaker-mics do NOT work with the Baofeng UV-5R family (UV5X3, FH8, etc) of radios as the prongs are too close together to fit those radios. Fortunately I was able to return them for a full refund after finding this out.
