This is exactly what I expected it to be after seeing countless reviews on this fragrance. It’s warm and sweet with a hint of musk and spice to add some uniqueness and complexity. It’s a very beautifully done fragrance. I am hands down a vanilla girl. I love to smell inviting to the senses like something out of a bakery shop. However, as of lately, I have been wanting a vanilla that leans a little more on mature side, but doesn’t completely overpower the vanilla notes. This checks all the boxes for me. The girlies say this is a “fall/winter” fragrance, and while I understand their sentiment, I wear whatever I want to when I want to…so I’ll leave that up to your discretion. As for longevity, that is yet to be fully confirmed, but I sprayed it directly on my skin 3 hours ago and I still smell it fairly strongly without having put a body oil on first. That’s a pretty good sign. My overall conclusion is that I highly recommend it if you’ve been debating on this one. Side note (my unasked for opinion): This will pair well with ANYTHING that has vanilla in it regardless if it’s woody, fruity, or floral. I plan to pair it with my Cylar Vanilla Verve body oil + Nemat Vanilla Musk perfume oil and see what that’s about.

Honestly its so sweet and soft its genuinely perfect! I love to make it a combo with heavy cream it smells so good like vanilla marshmallows!

I love it! For me, it smells exactly like the Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 59 (purple bottle), but I like the PHLUR one more. I can definitely smell the top note of the pink pepper, and once it dries down, it's a delicious warm vanilla with a hint of sandalwood, which adds depth and prevents it from smelling too sweet. I can see how some who want a sweeter scent layer the Vanilla Skin with the PHLUR Heavy Cream. I might try it. Since I've just received it, I cannot attest to the longevity of the PHLUR Vanilla Skin. The Sol de Janeiro 59 lasts all day for me, especially if I layer it with the matching body lotion. For the size and price, both brands offer a 240 ml/8.1 fl oz bottle; the PHLUR is $1 less.

This is the review you’re looking for; Vanilla skin: Scent is great, gourmand. Has that slight scent of being a more ‘adult’ smell because you can smell a tinge of the sandalwood every now and again. People have commented on the body mist not really having great longevity but I think That is a mix of things—1.) this is a body mist. It’s meant to be reapplied. 2.) You’re not applying it correctly 3.) Skin sweats and clothes rub on it so it makes sense that it might not last on your skin. Those things being said, here is how I apply it so that it sticks for ALMOST the duration of the day. Right after I get out of the shower, a couple sprays of this goes on. I follow up with a lotion moisturizer and THEN a little bit of body oil. For reference I use G0ld B0 nd ultra healing and LifeFl0 almond oil but I don’t think the Brand matters so much as you’re giving the body mist something to adhere to. After moisturizing I spritz more, on my pulse points. And once more in my dried hair before I leave for work. I do want to point out that the scent sticks GREAT on clothes and hair. Long after I cant Smell it on me, if I flip my hair around I can Definitely smell it. Phlur Heavy Cream; This scent isn’t as gourmand to me as vanilla skin but still is sweet. I’ve heard people say it is reminiscent of sunscreen and that might be because lots of sunscreens are fragranced with coconut or some type of floral. Upon first spray I sort of agree but it dries much different. It dries and smells very mildly of something like lemon frosting, but if you are someone who can’t get smells out of your head you’re definitely going to continue to smell sunscreen. I read some comments that said it smelled too much like a male cologne and I disagree. I bought Both of these in a pack because they’re supposed to smell good together and honestly the vanilla skin overpowers heavy cream and the heavy cream sits very lightly beneath it. Honestly ? Skip the pack and just buy two bottle of vanilla skin. Are there other cheaper body mists on the market ? Yeah. Generally with most of them I smell a little bit of alcohol. Should this be $38? No. $28 seems far more reasonable especially for something that is not eau de parfum—but that’s just me. Smells great, lasts if you use it right. Pricey.

This mist is great after the pepper part wears off. The pepper is so strong, I have to apply this mist outside. It makes me cough and burns my eyes. BUT once it wears off, it smells amazing. VERY much like a beloved warm vanilla sugar I'm sure a lot of us know. Not quite the same but I would say it is a more grown up version. Warmer and a tad less sweet. I would give it 5 stars but the pepper part is just too painful.

I absolutely love this scent and the Missing Person scent. The body mists scent lasts longer than the perfume (in my experience) but when paired with the body oil it lasts a little longer! It's nice for every day use, the body mist bottles hold a decent amount of product too!
