I bought this because of the way luggage is handled by airline employees, and I also wanted some reassurance that at least if the zipper broke, the contents of the suitcase would still be secured. It is also a good deterrent from hotel staff snooping through luggage. I used it as a lock in my hotel room and obviously the strap would need to be cut off if someone was to snoop around in my personal belongings. So, I ended up really really liking this little gem! Price is great too!

It does its job as a luggage strap to help keep your suitcase to stay closed, but in terms of locking for anti theft purposes, it’s a fail. The buckle seems solid enough and does indeed lock with a code you can set yourself, but as it’s an adjustable length strap you can easily lengthen it to maximum size and slide it off the suitcase without needing to unlock it at all.The buckle is also much much bigger than I had pictured, at about the size of the palm of your hand. Materials seem good, just a design flaw in the belt that defeats the purpose of a locking luggage strap.
