We have tried at least 4 different dog water fountains over the past 10 years. We have tried plastic and stainless steel fountains. All with different styles of waterflow. Whether the water dripped or fell gently. Our first complaint was how quickly the plastic ones would get slimy and constantly needed a thorough cleaning. Then we went to stainless steel and those did not get slimy they were just difficult to clean because of the style that we got having to balance the water to get the bowl to the sink to clean. Another issue that we have always had was one of our dogs is EXTREMELY messy when she drinks. She likes to make as much of a mess as she can when she drinks that we have a mat around the water fountain. We decided to get this fountain because the flow looked more like a stronger current which would hopefully prevent slime build-up. We also liked how it looked easy to keep clean. It also looked like it may be good to prevent our dog from making a pond around the dish. We have had it for a couple of months now and I can say we love this fountain! The filter is insanely easy to not only take out and rinse every few days but we can change it often and the whole thing is just really easy to keep clean. Best of all our dog has not made a mess AT ALL around it. The way this fountain is styled the water that she splashes automatically gets caught and drains into the bowl. No more lake to clean up! Added bonus... it is by far the quietest fountain that we have ever had. It is also super easy to fill up. We just fill it where the splash guard is with a water jug that we fill and it does not take forever to fill it. It is very well made and holds about 2 gallons of water. You can tell dog owners designed it. It really is a great fountain!!

I seriously LOVE THIS THING!! This is the best invention for pets. I searched high and low for a pet fountain and they all seemed to have their flaws. This is the best you could get, even if you were willing to spend more money, you wouldn’t get one as good as this. And it’s priced very fair. It’s very large. As you can see in my picture, there is a line showing the max fill line. I honestly disregard that. I’ve filled it up all the way. There is a little cut out in the back where you feed the power cord for the pump, and I fill the water up until it’s right below that cut out so it doesn’t spill out. I’ve owned this unit for months and I’ve always used it that way with no issue. I estimate that it holds almost an extra gallon filling it up to below that cutout. I have two French bulldog Boston terrier mixes and several cats. Before this fountain, I would fill two large water dishes full of water every day. It was a pain and would get disgusting. Never realized that my animals weren’t drinking enough until I got this fountain. Now they all love to drink water and none of them have ever made a mess out of it. When it first arrived, I would fill it all the way up and it would last exactly one week until it needed to be refilled. I would clean all of its parts and refill it during my weekly refill. But after two weeks, I think my animals decided that they really loved this thing and they all started drinking way more water. So then it went from lasting a week to only lasting 4 or 5 days before it needed a refill. All the cats regularly conjure together at this and take turns getting their fill. Moving water is much healthier for them all anyway so I love to see them enjoying it so much. Now that I’ve owned it for several months I’ve found the best way to use it that makes the most sense for me and my household. Instead of breaking all the parts down and thoroughly cleaning the whole thing every time it needs to be refilled which would be at least once or twice a week (bc I have so many animals), instead I fill it to the tippy top, and when it gets low halfway thru the week, I take a jug of water and pour it directly into the fountain to top it off. Then when it gets low again, I’ll top it off with fresh water again. I let it go about 2 weeks or so before I break it down completely, thoroughly wash every single part, and give it a new filter in the basin and a new sponge filter at the pump. I get way more life out of my filters this way instead of replacing every week I manage to get about 2-4 weeks out of them. To make the filters last the longest, once a week I pull the filter out of the basin, give it a good rinse and stick it back in when I top the fountain off. When I do this I also pull the filter out and wipe it off and rinse the sponge filter. All my animals love this fountain and so do i. It works amazingly and is very well constructed. I would love to see a stainless version of this big one like they did for the smaller cat fountain. This petlibro company has done a great job creating this fountain and it’s extremely consumer friendly. They sell the filters, and they even sell the replacement pump for less than $10 if something were to ever happen to yours. It’s great. Nowadays so many companies create their products where if one little thing goes wrong with a part of the item, the whole thing is trashed and can’t be used. So I love that they sell the replacement pumps. It’s also super quiet. It makes no noise at all. Idk what other ppl are talking about referencing sound this thing might make bc it doesn’t.. like at all lol.

Perfect! Our dog loves it. Easy set up, no mess, and just the right amount of water. Our dog seems to like the moving water and one less chore of filling the old water bowl twice a day

Update!!! Replacement pump is working great much better than first one that came with it . I guess first pump was bad from factory or something. After a little over a week pump starting not working (yes I cleaned it every 3 days and yes it had enough water ) took it a part and tried cleaning it but still wouldn't work right after only 9 days !!!! Bought another pump hope it last longer than a week !!! Love it so far ! My dogs love it ! We have well water and my dogs water used to get moldy and nasty in a couple days but now with the petlibro 2.1 dog water fountain the water is clean and fresh . I received it 4 days ago from Amazon and set it up right away same day . today the 4 th day of it running I decided to clean it and see how well it was cleaning the water and to my surprise the filter was doing a great job , water was nice and clean but the filter was nasty from cleaning the well water so glad I bought more filters . I took everything apart deep cleaned and set back up . would buy again !!!!

I want this review to be a warning - please read. I purchased this unit in June and subsequently purchased 2 orders of replacement filters. I clean and change the filters every week. This past week the water stopped flowing! I contacted the manufacturer and got some advice and some very bad advice as in just remove the filter from the pump. The pump clogged within an hour shutting the pump off completely. After 10 emails back and forth no resolution. The following is the last email and no response. Dogs health could be at risk by not having access to water. Hi Tan, We have decided not to use the fountain any longer. I just can't take a chance that my dogs will not be able to access water when we are not home. If I have to put a 2nd bowel out it defeats the purpose of the fountain. I am not sure if the problem is the filters or the pump, but in either case my dogs have been denied water because of this issue and that is simply not acceptable. In my original email I did provide the order information on the filters in question. I will provide it again as I honestly think something changed and the filters are not working properly. Having had the unit for nearly 4 months and performed at minimum of 16 filter changes and through cleanings I am learning that the pump filter is the problem. At any rate as I stated it is way too risky to gamble that my dogs will be without water because the water is not flowing. Ordered on June 18, 2024 - Fountain and Filters Ordered on July 8, 2024 - Filters 8 Pack Ordered on September 16, 2024 - Filters 8 pack I am attaching the invoice for the filters that I believe to be the problem as 16 other filters did not have this issue. This attachment is to afford your company the opportunity to investigate the problem. This is a very serious issue as you have customers unknowingly putting their pets in danger because they cannot hydrate. I will post my concern in an updated review of the filters and the product. I also feel that I have had to repeat myself to you on more than one point of concern and nearly 10 emails to address this is rather ridiculous.

Overall I like the fountain. My dogs like it. I bought this because I had a small wireless sensor operated one. My dogs had the wild idea that when it ran out of water when I wasn't home that licking and chewing on the controller unit would some how produce more water since the water flowed from there, after a few incidents when that happened the controller stopped working. So when I was looking for new fountain I was looking for one that didn't have the controller on top, with larger capacity, and affordable since my track record at replacing these is at 2 years. After comparing several I chose this one. The only issue I have it that it needs to stay constantly plugged in since it is always running and I am limited on there I can place it. As described the motor is super silent, but when the water goes below a certain level the water sound is like you're sitting by a urinal and it's constant, so even though it has a larger capacity for less refilling I have to keep adding water to keep it at a certain level so I don't hear water plopping constantly. So basically I'm adding water at the same frequency I was when I had my smaller fountain. Cleaning it is easy, just don't like that I have to run the wire to do so. Like that the pump will run for for a while when not plugged in so if there's a power outage my dogs will have fresh water. Overall a great purchase.

I have two of these in my house one on each level. These do an excellent job of filtering water and keeping the water fresh. I have two smaller dogs and the main one they drink out of will last 7 to 10 days before needing to refill. I noticed my dogs drink much more water with these. Easy to clean easy to set up easy to maintain. I rarely write reviews but this is one of the best products I’ve bought in a long time. Instead of cleaning a smaller water bowl every single day and refilling this saves you so much time and you realize you probably weren’t keeping your dogs as watered as you thought.

Edit: it is now October and I bought this fountain (two) in July. At first as you probably read, they were great. However, over time I’ve noticed that even with the weekly cleaning, it will smell AWFUL (like dirty pond water on humid day) about 4/5 days in. I’ll open it and the filter is seemingly clean and doesn’t smell bad but the water is filthy and there’s dirt in the bottom. I double checked I was putting the filter in correctly, I am. I have two double coated, long hair dogs but with how much I have to groom them, I don’t think hair would be an issue. Plus, I hardly find hair in the fountain, just dirt. Or what looks like dirt. I’ll try to update with a picture later. I’m not sure I’d recommend these again, which is upsetting. This is one of the best pet fountain companies out there and I just feel let down on this one. —— (ORIGINAL REVIEW) My dogs have had a fountain before but that was when they were puppies. Every fountain that I have looked at has either been really small or very loud. This fountain has a big tank and is super quiet! They were skeptical when I first set up (probably because they haven’t seen flowing water in a bit) but when they realized it was tasty, they drink a little more often! I love that if the water line is a little low, I can just use a pitcher to fill. However, I do take these apart to clean every week. The filter does a fantastic job cleaning the water! The instruction guide was pretty easy to use/follow! Performance of the entire fountain, I’d say is overall fantastic. I also really like the appearance and aesthetic. Only thing I would change: remove the cord from the tank. Otherwise, it’s a great fountain! Definitely would recommend!
