Impressed
Been scuba diving since 1975. Now that I’m old, I was looking for a scuba that’s light weight that I can check out potential dive sites in Riviera Maya. This tank flips the bill. Weighs nothing under water. The built in regulator works and feels like my old scuba pro mark V. Very easy breathing. Purge works very well, but not really needed as there is minimal water to purge. Normal full breathing, air supply at 3,000 psig lasts 9 minutes in 10’ water depth. Also, very easy to feel when last two breaths are coming up, but also have a gauge to go by. When gauge hits red mark, there is about five or six full breaths left in bottle. Only takes 12 minutes to fill using a small compressor.

It works but not quite as advertised
I’m a scuba diver and I got this as a backup air supply. This should only be used by certified divers, who understand the risks of breathing compressed air underwater. The kit comes with the regulator and an aluminum tank. Realistically you need another full tank to fill it. Using a pump is not realistic and would be a good workout. The capacity is about 3 cubic feet. This lasted about 2.5 minutes under normal breathing at 12 ft of depth on my most recent dive. The design has some flaws. The fill doesn’t really seal from water so it’s very possible you get water in the tank. The pressure gauge is nice, but once it’s filled, it’s not a huge help. The knob to open regulator is nice, but between it and the fill and the pressure gauge, it does not pack well. The flap does not close evenly and this makes carrying it an issue. Mounting it on a harness is a problem as there is nowhere to put 2 inch webbing. I recommend getting a separate carry bag. Finally using it underwater is actually pretty okay. It has a small mouth piece that isn’t super comfortable. While the tank is heavy above water, underwater it’s fine. The regulator works well. It isn’t a great performing regulator as it does get harder to breath the deeper you go, but I was able to use it at 100 ft. It did not last nearly as long at 100 ft, so if using as pony, you’ll want to surface quickly. Overall it is another air supply. A larger tank would be better and might help with the storage issues and more practical at deeper depths. If I needed to use it underwater in an emergency, it would be better than no air, but it would be hardly safe if I’m deep. At this capacity, you’ll be surfacing dangerously fast if deeper than say 50 or 60 feet. (You shouldn’t ascend more than 30 ft/min according to the scuba classes I’ve taken.) It’s better than nothing, but you’ll need more air to be safe and there are probably better options. The price is good, but it isn’t a time tested brand. Mine works well, but your mileage may vary. I’d suggest reaching options for pony bottle before purchasing.

Loving it! Needs more oxygen time! But serves it purpose!
Depending on how Im breathing, the oxygen in the tank goes quick. It's closer to 5 minutes. It's good for the purpose of top swimming and seeing something shinny about 10 feet down, diving to get it and coming back up. It's also good as a spare, and for learning how to manage air time when diving. The mouth piece is not as soft or comfortable as some others but it works perfectly. This is just a personal preference. The tank is heavy when put on the mouth. It's better to be in the water first prior to putting it on and then when in the water, put it on and begin diving. To wear it around and walk in the water is not recommend as the tank is heavy when not floating or diving. Also, getting use to having a mini tank thats not attached to my back is a bit uncomfortable at first when swimming. It has the tendency to want to float requiring a bit more swim power to dive deeper.
