Bolts to Factory Perfectly
Totally got rid of my Wobble, need to replace the other steerimg components but this thing eliminated the wobble 100% Easy Installation bolts straight up to factory! Durability is TBD after some more miles, but the Quality is exactly what youd expect from a long time top tier company like Rough Country. Love it!

Fixed bump steering issue over potholes
In 2026, I installed this on my newly purchased 2005 Jeep Wrangler X, which still had the original factory steering stabilizer. Before replacing it, every time I'd hit a pothole or even small bumps in the road, the steering wheel would jerk back and forth, causing the Jeep to dart around and making it feel unstable and unsafe. After reading through the reviews, I decided to give this stabilizer a try. Installation was straightforward and took about 30 to 45 minutes. The hardest part wasn't installing the new stabilizer, it was removing the old rusted hardware from the factory one. The instructions say to reuse the original 12mm bolt on one side. My bolt was still in good shape, but the original nut was badly rusted and partially stripped, so I replaced it with a new one and applied anti-seize to all threads before putting everything back together. The difference was immediately noticeable on the first drive. The steering feels much tighter and more controlled, and the Jeep is far more stable over bumps and rough pavement. Before, hitting a pothole would cause the steering wheel to kick violently. Now it tracks straight, even over potholes and rough roads. If your TJ Wrangler is still running the original steering stabilizer, I highly recommend replacing it. It's an inexpensive upgrade that made a huge difference in how my Jeep drives.

UPDATED REVIEW: Part is a week later than when expected and needed, and still not here yet. Good part. Fits well as advertised. Comes with all parts.

Great upgrade for my jeep tj
Excellent build quality. Super easy to install on my jeep tj. This replaced a worn out monroe and has a much better response. I drive mostly back roads and dirt roads on the weekends. On a jeep tj, make sure to reuse the 12mm bolt and nut that connects to the frame. I would definitely purchase again.

Best Steering Stabilizer I've ever put on my Jeep! 10+
This is the only Steering Stabilizer you should get if you own a jeep. I've put on plenty of these, from various brands, but this one is superior. Very easy installation, and my steering feels brand new like it was off the factory floor... Even though my Jeep is 20+ yrs old. Affordable and quality. This was my first time using a Rough Country, and it will be the only brand of stabalizer I buy from now on. Skip the comparisons, this is the one to buy. Great look too.

Doesn't fit & seller didn't give me enough time to return it for a refund
This steering stabilizer is actually so fat that it doesn't fit as a replacement for the original (which is much thinner). There literally is no space for it. And the seller gave me so little time to return it for a refund after I advised them I wanted to return it, the link they sent me to print out the return label expired before I had a chance to print it. Now they won't let me return it and I have just lost $60. BEWARE!

2001 Jeep Wrangler TJ perfect fit.
UPDATE: The pronounced bump steer I have been experiencing since I bought the Jeep has all but gone. I believe this to be a result of installing the new stabilizer. had expected a generic gray stabilizer b/c many reviews said that is what showed up. I am happy to report the shock that was delivered was exactly as described and included all the hardware I would need to install. It even came with the Rough Country sticker, which is a very nice touch. The unit itself is solid, more so that the OEM factory one I removed, which had given up the ghost. It was a bit of a struggle to remove the old one, despite liberal PB Blaster and BFH applications. The trick I found was to use a CAN$19.99 Pitman arm puller from Canadian Tire. That did the business in minutes. I reused the original frame-side bolt and nut but the supplied bolts were more than adequate for the other end with the locking washers and nuts. All high quality. I torqued both bolts to 50 f/lbs, and it's solid as a rock. It looks really nice with the Rough Country logo, and performs considerably better than the factory one. As another reviewer mentioned it doesn't return to center quite as fast as the stock one, but it's still very early days and I expect it to bed-in/settle as I use it. I am very pleased and it's great bang for the buck. Shipping was next day, so no complaints there either. Note I did *not* have Jeep death wobble, and if I did this would not fix it - just mask it at best. If you are thinking this will make your death wobble issues disappear, it won't. Period. All in all I am very pleased with this purchase, and will happily recommend it to any TJ owners that are thinking of an upgrade or a replacement.
