Huawei phones do have superior cameras. For US Support buy the Amazon support & incidental warranty
The notch is nice the phones AI is really good. The phone didn't come cluttered but instead with a few useful integrated apps. Get this it had a built in IR sensor and Huawei app that let me control both my LG and Samsung smart TV's without using wifi! The camera blew me away and had my galaxy owning friend scratching his head in a pic comparison. I'm not much on pics as much as other people are. I primarily care about the graphics look and performance of a phone when i get it, but the phone was amazing just watch which seller you get it from. I feel like if Huawei starts making smart tv's or high performance computer monitors its a wrap! I don't care about all the media jiberish these phones have all the bang for the buck at half the price my biggest and only quarrel with the phone was that it didnt have qi wireless charging (which is slow anyway) and no upgradeable memory slot. YOU CANNOT PUT A MICRO SD CARD IN THIS PHONE! You will have to resort to cloud storage or bluetooth, wifi uploads to your home PC. Which..for a phone with such a great camera (high resolutions shots will take lots of MB's/Gb's) and ability to capture 4k video you want to watch that space especially if you download music to your phone. speaking of music the sound quality from the USB C headphone is very crisp and clean.Streaming of youtube, Pandora, Spotify, Hulu Netflix were great. Not Razer 2 phone great but impressive.Pros: Screen Quality, touch responsiveness, Memory, crash free, IR sensor for TV's and Blurays Waterproof, works globally, works with both contract and prepaid phone services like Tmobile or Simple Mobile as long as its a GSM carrier.Cons: No QI Wireless charging without a weird adapter, NO upgradeable memory slot, GSM only NO CDMA networks, Limited case options no lifeproof or otterbox for these even though they are No 2 in sales and manufacturing ahead of Apple and slightly behind Samsung?

Best Phone of 2018 - Solved Update Issue
This thing is a beast. Got it to so if the reviews were true and they were. Best camera ever, great battery life, speed and everything. Beat my galaxy s8 in every category. Love it.Update: Since the dispute with Huawei, they stopped giving updates of their US phones. I found a workaround. I bought a $5 Sim card off ebay that was meant for China or Vietnam or some Asian country. It was $5 so I said I'll give it a try. Well, it worked. I took my US sim card out popped it in and waited. It wasn't instant so I thought it didn't work, then about 5 minutes later I got my first update. I'm now 9 updates in on EMUI 9 and a new version of Android. Hope that helps anyone that was looking to get this.

It's mostly a picture quality decision
Good phone, but price may fluctuate up and more than $1K. It should be around $830, $850 at most (for all models, got mine on that price). The midnight blue seems the most common or the less popular, being it the lowest priced one.Shipment was on its original box, sealed (as it should), which includes a transparent case, charger, USB cable, earphones and audio adaptor, phone and a screen protector stick on it.In general, it's a bit overpriced and the camera is a very good one (with many options on hand) but expect no magic like having a DSLR with same functions and "pixelage" at the same time, and this is due the best quality and internal sensor enhancements work best on 10MP resolution on the phone (although we can get 40MP without too much "true colors"). Zoom camera is a really good one. B/W camera seems to help on the 10MP photos, and on the individual B/W mode seems to have really difference vs software monochrome effects (I can't tell too much though, I usually don't use filters). As I said, it's generally a bit overpriced, but for $840 I'm on the line compared to the rival S9+ which has a price of $830 unlocked. The camera on the S9+ can indeed compete with this phone, although may not on the quickie'r and more stable 10MP colorful photos of the P20, but the S9+ will probably beat this phone on the resolution and video (which stable 4K and the more accurate 960FPS video). The Dual SIM, while having good 128GB of internal memory (that is, no microSD sacrificing the 2nd SIM like on the S9+), is a really nice to have for me.The only biggest disappointment is the frontal camera; while having 22MP is a nice wow, the softness of the picture is a big down; the picture just not looks as a 22MP one, but as a ~6MP, even with the face "softener" or "beautifier" turned down to 0. Not really sure if this still is a software or a hardware issue. Also, taking pictures of yourself with a nice scenic background behind you, the frontal camera (or the software) just can't cope with it, the background will result highly blurred. Finally, the main camera is a night monster hunter, specially on the Pro mode; getting beautiful photos even on darkest situations on both normal Picture and Pro modes. On Pro, one can set shutter up to 30 seconds and 6,400 ISO.Still, both are the top, mainstream leaders (you may include the iPhone X as well) on photo specs at the moment, each with the pros and cons on the camera, mostly due to hardware limitations and design.(Note: I tend to avoid giving 5 stars to all products, until it really deserves it)
