Recently became a candle fanatic and was really getting tired of blowing everything out at the end of the night. Hence, candle-trimming accessories. All three pieces come in a translucent plastic box which is convenient, but definitely not necessarily as they look pretty classy as it is (at least no worse than the long-neck lighter I use for the candles).1) The trimmer: Probably my favorite because it prevents me from getting sooty fingers every time I trim the wick (which you should for a candle down to 1/4" before you light it. Also, leave it lit an hour per inch of candle for an even burn so you don't get tunnelling around the wick). Anyway, the trimmer has that circular platform which nicely holds the trimmed wick pieces so you can collect them after the fact.2) The snuffer: It's OK - not as fancy as the others, but still looks nice enough on a shelf. My biggest complaint is that the end of the snuffer is quite narrow (about wide enough to insert a finger) so when you go to snuff-out a candle, there's a tendency to accumulate wax around the tip (even for candles as small as tapers).3) The picker (?): I assume this is for picking a wick that's gotten stuck in the wax or to get something out of melted wax, but haven't really needed or had the opportunity to use it yet. It's the most ornate of the three with a design featuring the length of it.
