This is my first time trying to grow Borage, and these seeds made it easy.The seeds I received look and smell very fresh, and they had a 100% germination rate. This is almost unheard of. I buy lots of organic seeds from several different online vendors, and these are definitely among the best. I'll be looking to buy more seeds from this vendor next season.I also liked that the packaging included instructions for every growing zone. I'm in zone 9B, and these seeds germinated within a few days without any need for cold stratification. They have grown into strong seedlings.The price for these seeds is comparable to organic Borage seeds from other vendors I have used when measured by the number of seeds in a packet, and the germination rate makes these a good deal.So far, I recommend these seeds and this vendor. This is my first time with Borage and it's so satisfying!I purchased a lot of seeds this year online and it has been mostly disappointing....except THESE seeds are giving me real hope that maybe I have a green thumb after all. It's so satisfying to see these germinate so quickly. I'll be transplanting these seedlings into large containers on my deck, and also experiment with a few in my yard too. I get LOTS of deer, so hoping the fuzzy leaves may dissuade them from gobbling them up (foolish hope, I know....since the deer eat everything except invasives!) Still, I'm happy to share with the deer. The does have been busy and now have 2 frolicking fawns dashing through around the yard right now. gotta make sure mama is well nourished!

Borage is a lovely plant and easy to grow. Bees and butterflies approve of them. However, borage should not be planted where your dogs or other small animals can eat on it. Oh, I gave the flavor selection a 1 because what has flavor got to do with this plant. I don't plan on eating it.

I'm in zone 9B, subtropical coastal Texas, and recently planted these in pots with a mix of potting soil, coir, native clay, and compost. At the time of planting the average temperature highs were in the low 90s, and some days have had a heat index of 110F. After six days, eight of the fourteen seeds I started have sprouted, and all but one of the sprouts looks very healthy!These seeds are germinating better than I expected, and the seedlings are looking very happy! I guess 100% germination rate on my first 2 seeds is about as good as it gets. I have never had Borage but it is requested for a recipe I want to try. After going to a couple of stores, I couldn't find it fresh anywhere so I thought I might as well grow it myself.The envelope is very pretty and has a lot of information on germination, growing etc.The price is a bit higher than other brands but I have found that you get what you pay for. I am tired of cheap seeds not germinating and have found that Organo Republic has one of the best germination rates.

I’ve had borage leaves grown by a hydroponic farm. They are refreshing and taste like cucumbers, although fuzzy. Nice in salads or drinks. I want to try growing borage in my small personal hydro garden myself. Nice packet, non-gmo & USA, with lots of info and QR links on the back. Will update if any issues with these seeds. They need to imprint the pack with the harvest date.

These seeds germinate quickly and I'm looking forward to beautiful blue blooms soon.
