Good quality, compact and functional
Bought for use while walking or in city breaks to view building details or landscapes. Priority was lightweight but of good quality and so far these binoculars fit the bill. There are more highly specified models and there are one or two features which might have been better - for instance, the hinge is a little bulky when folded - but nothing which is a major issue. Magnification and sharpness of focus are well within the range I expected and the build quality of lens and body are both excellent. For intensive use they may not suit everyone, as they are compact and the field of view and magnification reflect this, but for my purposes they are excellent. Only reason for not giving five stars is that I haven't owned them long enough to comment on their reliability over a sensible timespan. So far though, very pleased with the binoculars and with both price and speed of delivery.

Compact quality binocular, ideal for carrying in your pocket. Extremely useful for times that are not always practical to have your full size binocular with you. Well worth purchasing at this price, would recommend.

Good buy
Bought these binoculars for hubby to take out while walking the dog so haven't used them myself but he seems happy with them as they are small enough to carry about in his pocket and good for the price, dinky little gadget, quite happy with purchase!

Great for light weight back packers
Very compact and light. Very easy to focus and clear image. Ideal if size and weight are priorities.

Luger 6x18 pocket binoculars
These little binoculars were compared with Blackfoot 6x18 and Visionary EX 8x20 binoculars. First the downsides. The circle of vision is not as large as is desirable. Both the Blackfoot and Visionary have larger circles of view and are better for it. The hinge is rather bulky - when the binocular is folded the hinge sticks up and makes the binocular less compact than it could be. The other two binoculars have slimmer hinges and fold compactly. The prism alignment was not good on the first binocular. Eyestrain was evident. The second binocular supplied by the mail order company was better but not perfect, certainly not in the category of the best small binoculars. Good definition was evident mainly in the centre portions of the circle of view (fairly typical with binoculars under £[]). Now the good points. The BAK4 prisms give a good bright picture, brighter than the other two binoculars. Colour rendition is good with good contrast. (The Blackfoot has ruby coated lenses. Avoid ruby coated lenses, they give a washed out picture.) The Luger is strongly made and of an attractive appearance. There is little competition on the market. The Visionary 6x18 has BK7 prisms which are of lower brightness, some of the others have ruby coated lenses. Would I buy it again? Yes, but only from a mail order company willing to replace it if the alignment was out, otherwise if you can buy it from a shop then that's the safer course.
