Crazy Korean Cooking Dolsot Korean Stone Bowl with Lid (No Trivet) (Size 4)

So far I have only used it once, to make Korean steamed eggs. It worked really well on my gas stovetop. The capacity is larger than it looks. I was able to use a half dozen extra large eggs and it could have probably held a seventh (with 1 water to 2 parts egg). The pot can hold 4 cups of fluid. The egg was a little difficult to wash off at first, but when i tried the baking soda and vinegar as suggested on the included directions, it came right off with barely any effort! The pot is well made, smooth finish and sturdy.

I love this. The shape, size, and durability are perfect for me. I've invested in similar products in the past and I can't say the same thing about those products. I've had this bowl for several months now and it still looks brand new. In the original packaging I received instructions on how to care for the bowl. I'm not sure if this is standard, but I appreciated it. I have followed instructions, but over time, I felt I didn't actually have to worry too much about how I was using and cleaning the bowl. I've previously gone to Chinese and Korean grocery stores to purchase claypots for much less, but they would crack after a while. This bowl allows me to make the same recipes and I think it'll last a lot longer.

Small bowl that is perfect for one person. I like to make a quick soup in this bowl on chilly days & this bowl is perfect as a personal bowl once finished! Extremely easy to clean, nothing sticks, keep my soups boiling hot & delicious. Am planning on buying another one for my S/O that we way we both have our personal bowls of soup fresh off the stove.

Good product. The bowl and lid have a dark brown color while the trivet is black. The contrast is a little off-putting but I hardly use the trivet, if at all. Worth it for the price; I'd go for the trivet-less option.

Der Topf ist optisch sehr ansprechend und erfüllt seinen Zweck. Man sollte natürlich darauf achten, dass man ihn nie im leeren Zustand erhitzt. Oder im erhitzen Zustand plötzlich abkühlt. Und es ist sehr wichtig, vernünftige Topflappen oder Handschuhe zu nutzen. Ich sage das, weil ich genau deswegen den Topf habe fallenlassen. Ein einfaches Küchenhandtuch hat irgendwann eben nicht ausgereicht. Beim nächsten Dolsot werde ich persönlich auf bessere Griffmöglichkeiten achten. Wer damit kein Problem hat, wird in diesem Dolsot mit Deckel einen wunderbaren Küchenbegleiter finden.

Love this! I add some water and heat it over a low flame, it gets hot quickly. Then handling it using an oven mitt, empty out the water, and usually put steamed vegetables or rice in it, to keep the food warm for a long time so I can eat slowly and really savour the taste. The lid is great as well! Everybody comments on how cute it looks. I can't wait to try making bibimbap in it!
