OK product, but large, and expensive.
This is a box for low-voltage (12V) illuminators (that is, it's a 120V box with its own transformer to make 12V for a halogen or LED bulb). I bought and installed several of these and the related non-IC (non-insulation-contact) version. I normally use Halo, but I had to have this Juno box to match a particular trim (Juno 449-WH) I wanted to use. You've gotta do what you've gotta do to get what you want, but I'll described the differences anyway. This box is BIG. It's bigger than the similar Halo brand boxes--it needs a lot of height. Comparing this to the non-IC version, the box surround seems excessive, especially for the lamping limits of this unit and associated trims. It could be shorter. While the size should not be a problem between normal floor/ceiling framing, check your available space and obstructions carefully before ordering. In my case, I had plenty of height between a soffit and floor joists above, but a lot of passing ductwork came close to ruining one install location (the flex ducts had enough slack that I was able to move them just enough to get the box in). It's easy to install, but not as easily as Halo's latest offerings (just a little, though). There are no quick-connects on the wires--you have to twist and wire-nut. You need to use cable clamps or pop-in wire connectors with the knock-outs for wire entry (Halo has integrated clamps you just push the cable through).Good overall, just basic, not as nicely executed as Halo, which is a shame because the cost of this box is several times the similar Halo product. But, you have to use Juno's if you want to use Juno trims like 449-WH. Docking 1 star for being unremarkable compared to its competition, and -1 for outrageous price.

A cheap substitute for what used to be a good housing
This was a replacement for an existing fixture with the identical model number. from the same manufacturer. The old fixture was no longer working and it seemed easier to replace rather than repair. It would have been easier to repair the old one. The new unit differs in substantial ways from the one that I had which was about ten years old. Many features of the older unit have been removed apparently to save manufacturing costs. I found out that the old unit was specifically designed to enable replacement of the internal transformer, alter wiring connections, etc. all from below the unit without accessing it from above. This new unit does not have those features. You cannot access internal components such as the transformer through the light because the shell for the lamp is not removable. Everything is riveted together instead of being held with screws. Neither is the shell adjustable to account for varying ceiling thicknesses. They used a stamped lamp housing with a rounded top that does not allow the retention springs of my existing trim to fully recess into the housing. I had to heat the springs with a torch to cut and bend new ears so it would fit. If I was to do this again I would look for something else. Not recommended.

Must consider size
bought this to install Juno Lighting 449-WH 4-Inch Aiming Elbow Recessed Trim, White. Bigger size than I expected. contractor has installed it, so I really do not know how difficult it is to install. But It is working well so far. I had difficult time to find other LED product, other than Amazon. Did not have much other choice.
