Increased energy throughout the day
I’ve noticed an astonishing improvement in energy generally throughout the day. I’m an endurance athlete, taking in fist thing in the morning (with creatine) and have also noticed 2 very important improvements. 1) that lactate build-up has diminished, and 2) I’m able to push harder for longer. There are weird skin-tingles occurring when heart rate elevates to a moderate rate, but that doesn’t last long

Great, But don't trust the scoop
Great product, good value, don't trust the scoop, label says a level scoop is 3g but when I weighed it after some serious mid-workout GI issues it weighed up as 4.5g

Dissolves easily - a bit expensive.
A nice granular product that dissolves easily. There are significantly cheaper versions on the market if price is an issue. Slightly bitter taste. I don't know how effective it is for me although it is considered a useful supplement in the literature. The basic theory is that it produces carnosine in the muscles and this buffers lactic acid so the muscles don't feel so tired during a workout. Worth a try for serious endurance athletes but hard for individuals to evaluate.

It's pretty good
I prefer taking straight up Beta-Alanine rather than pre-workout. Pre-workout has a bunch of other supplements in it that I'm already taking like creatine etc. I take one scoop with water mixed with blackcurrant dilute (MiWadi) and a caffeine pill about 10-15 minutes before training. I feel I still get the same effect as pre-workout (energy, face tingles, bump etc). The only two negative side effects that I've gotten was 1st I sweat like crazy, I'm bald and sweat a lot before so I don't mind that just a couple of extra towel wipes and I wipe down equipment anyway. 2nd side effect is I feel a little nauseous towards the end of my workout, usually during rest periods in between sets, but this is more than likely because I train on an empty stomach, and it's usually gone by the time I finish showering.Overall I think it's great for a recreational gym goer.
