ncredible Quality & Precision, A Must-Have Knife Set
his MITSUMOTO SAKARI 4-piece Japanese chefโs knife set completely exceeded my expectations. Each knife feels incredibly well-balanced, sharp, and thoughtfully crafted, and you can immediately tell theyโre hand-forged with real attention to detail. They glide through everything (vegetables, meat, herbs, with absolutely no effort, and the handles sit comfortably in your hand, giving you control without feeling heavy. The set covers all the essentials, looks beautiful on the counter, and genuinely elevates the cooking experience. For the price and quality, itโs an amazing find and one Iโm happy I added to my kitchen.

Very nice and very sharp
This is the first time that I decided to splurge on kitchen knives. As somebody who used to purchase individual knives because they were on sale or as needed, I immediately noticed a difference. Anyone who complains about Rust is just not taking care of their knives appropriately. The box comes with knife oil so that you can take care of the blades that you donโt use regularly for long-term storage. However, if you are somebody who uses your knives regularly and keep them clean, these are going to last you quite a while. The spines are very thick and the blades themselves have been crafted beautifully. Iโm quite proud to show them off when Iโm cooking. I purchased this when it was on sale for around $150 so about $50 a knife with a free pairing knife thrown in. So the cost is fair. I will say that the handles could be better as they donโt feel like real wood? This for me is a non issue as the primary reason I purchased a Japanese style knife is so that I could replace the handles instead of having to go and buy a new blade. The box itself is nice for presentation, but I donโt see myself using it for long-term storage. Itโs honestly a little cheap feeling. But hey, itโs just a box. The knives are also quite well balanced just past the heel of the blade.

What Every Knife Should Do!!
These knives are incredible! They come in a nice-looking box and have a reusable bag if you want to take them with you, but they really get the job done. It is a pleasure to carve meat, slice vegetables etc. They stay sharp, hand wash well, have a great handle for grip and do everything a good knife should do. They would make excellent gifts. My husband loves them, and we both would recommend them highly!

Why didnโt I buy these earlier
I expected less of a knife considering the price. I was mistaken. Iโm not a chef but a biased home foodie. I love cooking and this has been the best set I have ever owned. Better than my Henkels or โkitchen sets.โ I love the look and the feel of the knives. So worth the money spent.

After 30+ years of cooking, these knives blew me away
I'm a trained chef with 30+ years of experience. I'm incredibly particular about the tools I use. This knife set is, without a doubt, the best I ever used, no competition, hands down. Everything about it is perfect: the weight, the handle ergonomics, the steel quality, the balance, the durability... And the design? Absolutely stunning. Just looking at these knives makes me want to stay in the kitchen and cook all day. Iโve completely stopped using any of my other knives, even those with deep sentimental value. I still keep them and admire them from time to time, but this set is now my daily go-to. Itโs not just a tool, itโs inspiration.

Nice!
I purchased this set of knives to prepare myself for really nice knives that are actually made in Japan. I want to learn how to use these and get used to taking care of carbon steel before I spend the big bucks. I'm a very picky person with high attention to detail... the craftsmanship on the steel on these knives looks awesome. The handles ain't perfect but good enough for the price. Depending on how they hold up for the next year or so I might not even spend the money to upgrade... THESE ARE NICE KNIVES!

Eh. Not impressed
The knives are pretty, but they are a bit clumsy to use, at least in my hands. The balance seems off. Also, the whole reason I tried Japanese knives was they're supposed to be sharper and keep their edge longer. They are sharp, out of the box, for sure! But they do not stay sharp any longer than other knives I have. And because of their cutting edge angles, you can't sharpen them like you would other knives. Part of the problems I'm describing, it seems, is going to be true for any Japanese knives. Or maybe this was the wrong set to invest in/try.

EXTREMELY SHARP
Well Iโve been using high end German knives for the last 40 years. These are my first โJapaneseโ knives, and I made a rookie error and cut my finger! Thatโs how sharp they are. And cheap! Four knives for 350$. But hereโs the thing - are they going to STAY sharp? IDK sorry. Are they going to resharpen well? IDK Iโm sorry. But, especially considering the cheap price, I would definitely recommend you buy this 4 knives pack. They are UNBELIEVABLY sharp straight out of the box.

Sharp, sharp and stainless steel
Sharp knives that need getting used too. Girl friend is very impressed! She couldn't understand why I bought these but after trying them there is no turning back. Great knives and what a look. Can just imagine what a Samurai sword was like but these are very sharp. Being stainless steel rusting problems are low and don't need to be babied like carbon knives. A very good midrange set of knives especially for the price. They are a very attractive and everyone that walks in the kitchen comments on these knives.
