What weight is the oil.

HPF Pro Gearcase Lube normally doesn't specify weight, it's more of a "standard" but they say it is in the 75W-90 range.

will this work in my 1973 Evinrude 85 hp lower unit?

This will work. It's a lot better than the gear lube they had in 1973. You can save money by going with a conventional lower unit gear lube, just change it regularly.
