Because of its low price, I didn’t expect much from this ultrasonic cleaner, but I was pleasantly surprised! I recently completed braces and now use Essix (clear) retainers. My orthodontist advised me to clean my retainers with soap and water or an old toothbrush, but I wasn’t satisfied with those methods. Knowing that ultrasonic cleaning would do a better job than I could, I looked for an affordable ultrasonic machine that wouldn’t take up too much space in my bathroom. When my purchase arrived, I immediately tested its effectiveness with a foil test—and it passed! ( Fill the machine with water, insert a piece of foil about the same size as the bottom of the tank, and run a cycle. The foil should be uniformly pebbled when the cycle is finished with small holes and dents. This means that the ultrasonic is working correctly.) The machine is very compact and checked all the boxes I hoped for. One evening, after applying fluoride varnish to my teeth, I put my retainers in and wnt to sleep. Anyone who has ever brushed fluoride varnish off their teeth knows it’s far more stubborn than what a quick two-minute brushing can handle. I tried to brush away the residue and it would not budge, it was literally like super glue. I doubted the ultrasonic cleaner would be able to remove the residue, but I gave it a shot. I added warm water and a couple of pumps of soap to the tank and set the timer for a six-minute cycle. It took three cycles, but the cleaner removed all the varnish residue! For regular nightly plaque buildup, one six-minute cycle has been sufficient. This machine could also be used for dentures, especially with an Efferdent tablet, but I’ve been happy using just a tiny amount of soap. This will do a far better job than overnight soaking or brushing with a tooth or denture brush. I’m thrilled with this purchase and have been recommending it to all my patients with retainers. As a dental hygienist with almost 20 years of experience, I can confidently say this product is an A++!

This is a great cleaner for my mouth guard. I wish the time “on” was longer , I usually run it through a few times.

Used this to clean my Invisalign. Sometimes the water felt warmer than normal after a cleaning, even after using cold water. Item stopped working after 7 months.

The Aotuda 45kHz Ultrasonic Retainer Cleaner does a great job cleaning retainers, aligners, and even toothbrush heads. The ultrasonic action is effective, and the different cleaning modes with a digital timer make it easy to use. Items come out noticeably cleaner after each cycle. That said, the inside can develop mold if you’re not careful. It needs to be emptied, dried, and left open between uses. If water is left sitting inside, mold can form over time. Overall, it’s a very effective cleaner and convenient for daily use, but it does require regular maintenance to keep it fresh. Great performance, just not completely low-maintenance.

It’s been more than 6 months and the product’s been doing its job everyday 👍🏻👍🏻 Using the polident cleaning tablets and this machine helped my really murky retainers from years of not cleaning properly go back to newish looking retainers (crazy - took more than 10-15 washes but we got there)

I am very pleased with this product. It works perfectly. I especially love that it has 2 slots in the lid for toothbrushes, so they can be cleaned at the same time as the mouthguard. I highly recommend it!

The product stopped working after 6 months. I contacted the seller, not getting any responses.
