Levels out my 5th wheel perfect
I purchased this 2 years ago, thought now is a good time to review..! I use these air bags on my 2500HD to tow my 5th wheel and gooseneck trailers extensively. These Firestone air bags are worth every penny. Has more than enough pressure to level any load I have, but an added benefit is rear end stability, this has stiffened up the suspension making driving alot easier.

Great product
Easy to install with regular hand tools. Came with all hardware. Did what it was supposed to which is take the load off of the springs to help the ride. Itβs great for when you pull trailers because you can add or remove air to level the trailer and distribute the weight.

Check the air valve BEFORE installing the airbag!
Check the air valves and connections BEFORE installing the airbags! I followed the directions for installing with the last step being an air valve system check (with soapy water) after pressurizing to 70 PSI. The check failed on a airbag connection. Ouch! I had to fully uninstall that bag to get to the air connector to remove and reset it (with more torque). I then checked the airbag connector with the bag OFF the axle (but used only about 25 PSI at the bag was extending quite a bit without the weight of the bed to resist it's expansion), getting a good check this time. That's the reason for four stars...a lot of extra work that could have been avoided if I checked the air system before installing the bags. BTW, the air lines disconnect very easily when the bag is deflated.

Highly recommend
Just installed on a 2007 Chevy Silverado 3500 Classic extended cab, LBZ. Watched a couple YouTube videos and installed. Took a couple hours and couldn't be happier. The quality is top notch and all parts were packaged well. We tow a 37ft fifth wheel and had used Timbrens for a couple years. The truck still sagged a little in the rear with the Timbrens mounted one inch above axle. I like the adjustability of the air bags and being able to level the truck. Also, the truck rides much better when not carrying a load. The rear end is not as harsh. I keep the bags aired up at 10psi when not carrying a load. Highly recommend this product.

Very Happy
I installed these on my 09 GMC 2500HD to assist towing a 29' 5th wheel. VERY happy with the improvement over bounce and harshness of bumps and leveled the truck perfectly. I also installed a T and only one air valve so they would always have equal pressure. Installation took me about 5 hours total. An hour of that was going over the instructions and watching a few videos plus I'm also very particular so I took my time and really made sure everything was on perfect. Make sure you have the exhaust heat shield aligned exactly right before finishing install!

Great for towing
I bought these based on recommendation from my friend that I bought his 36' gooseneck trailer from. He said these airbags would make towing much easier. Well I installed these immediately before buying his trailer, and driving this 10,000lb trailer it felt like there was nothing behind me. I ran the air bags around 60psi with the trailer, and around 5-10psi without. Truck does not sag in the back a bit, even with 2000lb pin weight. These air bags are great, coupled with Bilstein 5100s my 2007 Chevy Silverado HD Duramax rides better than a new truck.

Great air bags
Third truck I've put them on. Everything included... nothing missing.I love the ride rite bags.Installed this set on chevy 2007.5 2500HD (LMM).On left side the lower bracket can rub the parking brake cable and more importantly the rear brake hydraulic tube. Use caution during install and reinstall those clamps to maintain a gap and you'll be good.Remove spare tire to aid install and teach yourself how to remove it if you never have.... dumbest thing I've ever seen.I wish Toyota would quit screwing around and make a diesel tundra....a 3/4 ton. Wishful thinking.....I know.

Well worth the investment!
Incredible difference on my 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD extended cab long box. The vehicle ride empty with 15 psi of air takes the ride stiffness out of the back end, as the truck is riding more on air than the leaf spring. It feels like you're driving with a half ton suspension. With my 1800 lb camper on and 50 PSI of air, my truck is more stable. Very happy with my purchase.I did the install using a vehicle hoist (rent a bay type place) and it made the job so much easier. Several good YouTube videos on how to do it. It was very straight forward and I did the bags and airline's in under 2 hours. I've also installed the Firestone air pump and switch. The pump install took me about an hour and a half. I highly recommend buying the onboard air pump. Airing up your bags from a remote air source you will find very inconvenient, especially when you want to adjust your ride on the go.

Does not work on motorhomes
Very nicely built. Would work on most trucks, but motorhomes have welded bumper stops, so very difficult to install. Would involve cutting main frame, and welding new part on, right by gas tank. On a pickup, it is bolted on, so about a 2 hour job.

These are necessary for pulling my 17,500 lb. 5th. wheel.

These are quality bags that fit well. I did have trouble with leaking fittings and I think that the supplied sealant was poor quality. Took the fittings out and Teflon taped them and now the system works fine.
