Firestone 2525 Ride-Rite Air Spring for Ford F-150

Haven't put the camper on the truck yet, but it seems to be working just fine. Having a 2" leveling kit on my 2012 F150, this was a must to get back to level when pulling my 28' travel trailer. Installation was fairly easy, and the directions were ok. You can also find video's online showing you how to install, which were a big help.I found the hardest part of the install was the bolts going into the side of the frame. The kit comes with these little square "paddles" that you have to insert thru a small hole in the inner part of the frame. These "paddles" have a threaded hole thru the center that you have to screw the bolt into. The are basically the nut for the bolt, only in a large square with a handle. The best tip from the online video I found is a must: BEND THE PADDLE HANDLE BEFORE YOU TRY PUTTING IT IN THE FRAME! You stand a chance at losing the paddle inside your frame if you don't! Plus, tho it is possible to install this by yourself (passenger side of my truck was much easier due to no brake lines in the way), it is a good idea to have someone help you. In particular, for those of you doing this on your backs in your driveway like I did. Those bolts thru the side of the frame were a real pain!Unless you really need side to side leveling, go out and grab yourself a 1/4" OD "T". I am not positive where to buy the "gator bite" type fitting like as used in the kit, as my dad grabbed me some from his work. A regular compression fitting should work as well since that is what I have used on a previous vehicle I owned that had air shocks on it. I have yet to mount my valve stem, as I am not sure where I want it yet, tho I have seen a couple great ideas. One of the best, was to drill out the hole thru one of your lower license plate mount holes, or I suppose thru each if you don't want to join the lines with a "T" fitting. I still need to check if there is room next to the fuel fill tube, as I believe hiding the valve stem behind the fuel door would be best.

Bought this for my 2011 Ford F150 4X4 with Super Crewcab. Very easy to install following the instructions that were included. Helps to watch videos that are out there for the installation. The drivers side took a little longer as there were brake lines around the area that the flange bolts are used. No issues as of now and have only had it installed on my truck for 2 weeks. No leaking issues with the airlines. Very happy with its performance. I have a 2019 Jayco 212QBW trailer and it does the job. The trailer has a GVWR of 6000 lbs.

I purchased these just before I pulled a trailer that I knew was going to put me over my gross axel weight. For safety, appearance and less mechanical wear I threw these on.-Installable with a friend and some tools (Floor jack, Jack stands, Sockets and wrenches) but by no means is it easy. We also started at dusk so that didnt help.Hint: The tapped brackets that you stick in the frame can have their handle bent so you can manouver them from outside the frame. I did not figure this out until I was done. (youtube it)-They handled the load very well. Ran them up to 80 PSI to get the truck close to level.-Ride quality was still very nice given the conditions-They do leak a little air over time. The manual says to run at least 10 psi all the time but I dont feel like airing them up once a week. We will see if this tears them up or not.-It doesnt take much volume of air to change the pressure. I use a battery powered compressor to air these up since it is slow enough to be controllable. I also have to overshoot my target pressure by about 10 psi do to the little bit that is released when I pull the chuck off. This also means that a tiny leak can drop the pressure in a short amount of time. Mine goes from 10 to 0 in about 5 days.

I had the time this past weekend to install the firestone air bags on my 2014 F150. This is without, one of the easiest kits I have installed. Everything fit just as it should and most people with common wrench's could do it without issue. I took the wheels off to give myself some room, and that helped with lining up the flags on the inside of the frame that was need for the frame mount. I didn't have any issue with the threads of the flags stripping, but I did use hand tools instead of impact wrenches. I run a repair business and would definitely recommend these to any customer looking to have it done to their vehicles. I did take a bit longer because I like to take my time and clamp the air lines to the frame with Plastic hose clips and self tapping screws, it makes a more Professional job, and less chance of rubbing somewhere.

I installed these on a 2009 2WD F150 crew cab to prevent rear suspension sag while towing a 30' travel trailer/toy hauler. The air suspension works great, corrected the rear truck ride height and was fairly easy to install. the system can hold up to 100 psi but works well for our needs when set at 35-40 psi range. The air bags also give me the advantage to raise the tongue height which lowers the back of the toy hauler to make loading a motorcycle easier with the gate is down making it more level with the back of the camper floor. The only two complaints i have and why I didn't give it a five star rating is the quick connect air brake fittings that are included tend to leak air after they get some age on them, i recommend using the brass compression type 1/4" X 1/4" 90 degree dot fittings at the air bags instead but was unable to find a compression type for the tire valve stem for filling or venting the air pressure. The other thing is the the rear of the truck rides to high when there is no load and the system is set to the minimum pressure of 5 psi.

If you are slightly mechanical this is a great, cheap option to help with loads or trailer handling. No welding involved.

Took me 3 hours to install the air bags, would have been less if Ford would think of a better system for lowering the spare, lol.All in all, a great product. This is my second truck I installed it on.

Installed in 2015, now 2022 and still going strong. I haul 180 gallons of water every week, eliminates the rear axle sag. Towed a 28' travel trailer from Alberta to California and back, at 30 psi held the truck level with a weight distributing hitch. Highly recommend!

This kit was extremely easy to install, there is no cutting of any factory parts like some of the other kits on the market. Basic hand tools will get you through the job but a torque wrench is the only additional must have tool to make sure you get all the nuts and bolts just right. It took me around 2 hours too install. The mounts and air bags are too notch equipment. I would definitely buy another Ride-Ride kit for my next truck and I highly recommend this product!

If you tow trailers, be it travel or any other type of heavy trailer, you cannot go wrong with the airbags being added to your truck. Pre airbags, you could tell you were hauling, post airbags, the ride is so smooth, you wouldn’t know you had a trailer attached
