Installation
Product works great! Install instructions are good but need a little help. For starters they should give you the wrench size needed on each step since there is a mix of SAE & Metric sizes. The existing rubber bumper is removed with a 10 mm socket and a short extension. It is impossible to see in there to tell what it is, also spray penetrating oil thru the hole in the frame above on the exposed threads. The Allen wrench required on the flat head screw that goes back in the hole is 6mm. The bolt that secures the bottom bracket to the air bag is 15mm and leave it loose to determine the alignment, it can be tightened from the side later. The nut that goes over the air sleeve/top mounting threads is 15/16" and has nylon locking patch so it must be wrenched down. Don't put the air fitting in first unless you own a longer deepwell 15/16" socket than I have ever seen. (The air fitting takes a 1/2" wrench and a ratchet end is nice as room is tight.) Before you finally tighten the top nut rotate the air bag until you feel the top stud go in the hole, there are TWO holes you need to find which one gives the best centering over the axle then tighten it until it is locked in place and won't turn, don't over tighten as it has brass threads and the nylon patch nut won't let it back off. Now look at the centering of the bottom bracket with the loose 15mm bolt, there are TWO holes in this bracket as well, you may have to remove the bolt and move to the other hole to get the best alignment, you can do this in place by compressing the air bag upward. (Note it helps if you have a way to jack up the frame about 3" I used the trailer hitch, as always safely secure with jackstands) Now run the airlines and secure carefully to prevent chaffing and stay away from exhaust (heat sleeves included but they have their limits) One final note on Chev Silerado drivers side only they provide a hole in the top bracket to tie the parking brake cable up away from the air bag, the corner is sharp, split a 3" piece of hose and slip around cable before tying it to prevent issues of water getting in the cable sleeve in 2-3 years. Easiest mounting place to mount air fittings (1/2" wrench)is in the plastic section of bumper near license plate lights but BEFORE you drill be aware that there is wiring harness in some of that area, check first.

Very stable when hauling a trailer
I am impressed with how easily they installed. No modifications were needed even though I have a 5th wheel attachment.I have gone 1000 miles with my trailer and in some heavy side winds (35mph), It was nice that they compensated some of the side loading. trailer ran smoothly.I have a 7800lb 5th wheel and run about 25-30 PSI. These really smooth out the ride and help in the jarring motion. When unloaded I am between 5-10 PSI. Little stiff in the ride but we do a lot of camping so I will accept this inconvenience when not hauling.

Fantastic upgrade for towing!
Installed these on a 15 Silverado 1/2 ton. I pull a 28' travel trailer and these made a world of difference. I set them so my truck is level when loaded (about 40psi in each). I started with using a small portable air compressor that I use for when I go off roading in my 4Runner. But, a bike pump works just as fast, if not faster. We just took a 7 hour drive to southern Missouri with the camper and it helped tremendously with the bumpy roads and cross winds. If whatever your truck pulls makes it squat down in the back, I highly recommend these!

**READ this may save you time installing***
I installed these 2/18/6 on my 2014 Silverado and it took me 2 days. I won't say I'm an expert mechanic but I have rebuilt a few engines in my day and I was and Aircraft Mechanic in the military. There are I believe several reasons it took me almost 2 days to install these. First is because the instructions are a bit confusing. I had to call Firestone and wait on hold for 15 min because the picture of what I was getting on Amazon and all the videos I found showed different mounting hardware. They have changed the way the bags are mounted and therefore I was stuck trying to figure out how to put them on. Second when speaking to the tech support at Firestone the guy told me to jack the truck up by the axle instead of the frame because the bags wouldn't fit if the axle was hanging down. It is true they won't fit if you jack by the frame but if you jack by the axle you can't take the Jounce bumpers out because you can't get your socket into the bumper hole to remove it. So if you buy these make sure you start by jacking up your truck by the frame first, take the jounce bumpers out and then jack it up by the axle. I chose to use 4 jack stands and have two on the frame and two on the axle to keep the axle a bit farther apart than it would have been to give me room to squeeze the air bags into the space provided. They give you a heat shield for the passenger side of the truck but don't mention it anywhere in their instructions and the part isn't shown in any picture provided. It is only listed on the part list. So first you have to figure out what it is and then find a video of someone putting one on. It's not difficult but it would be nice if they told you what it was and where it went. I had to remove my passenger bag and reinstall with the heat shield. If you have a 2014 Silverado 1500 the Jounce bumper comes off with a 10mm socket. It took some time to figure out what size bolt was in there. It may be the same on other years so you might want to start with a 10mm and see if it works.I like the air bags and they seem to be well made. My brother has some on his Dodge and they work great so I expect them to do what they are advertised to do.Lastly in case you decide to install your air bags without a compressor and with a T so they both fill up at the same time and level, I'll make the following suggestion:I ran the air valve up through the hole in the bottom of the rear passenger side bed rail hole and turned it out through the hole into the bed. I slid a piece of fuel line over the tubing, put a clamp on and tightened it so I could move it but with a little friction. Then I slid the line down through the hole until it was protecting the tubing where it goes through the hole in the bottom of the rail hole. The clamp keeps it from going further down and a little friction keeps it from working it's way up. I put fender washers on both sides of the air valve and used the provided nut to tighten in place. This way I don't have to get on my knees to adjust the pressure. I only adjust the pressure when I'm camping so I have a compressor with me.I do think these are worth purchasing but get ready for a project if you install yourselfI've added a couple of pictures of the heat shield so you can see how it's installed. Hope this helps.

great way to prevent the back of your truck from sagging when hauling a load!
relatively simple install. works good. was able to haul a quad on the back and still pull the camper with out having the back sag down. combined with a 1 inch leveling kit it gives the truck a nice subtle lift.

Easy to install if your mechanically inclined
Easy to install if you have the basic hand tools. Instructions were not the clearest but they help, they aren't not specifically for your vehicle but a general idea of what to do. The push to lock air fittings make easy to run airlines. They handle load well the only thing I had wrong was I had to replace both schrader valve (the fill valves) as they leaked all the air back out.

Product does what it says it does :)
bought this for my 2009 gmc sierra 1500 crewcab. fit perfect! no problems at all. very happy with the product :) hooked it up to my camper trailer and kept my truck and trailer level around 30 to 35 psi..... and there rated for 100psi. lots of adjustment leftonly problem i had was one of my rubber bumpers on my truck that u have to remove, the bolt broke and that took awhile to get out cause it was rusted right in there.
