Strong Grip and Easy Install Great for Slippery Steps
I installed these LifeGrip anti-slip traction treads on a set of steps that tend to get slippery, and they made an immediate difference. The surface has a gritty, high-traction texture, which helps prevent slipping, especially in wet conditions. Installation was straightforward just clean the surface, peel the backing, and stick them down. The adhesive feels strong and once applied, they stay in place without lifting. What I like most is how effective they are. They add a noticeable amount of grip without being overly bulky, and they work well for everyday use on stairs, entryways, or even outdoor areas. These types of treads are designed to improve safety by providing extra traction where slipping can be an issue. Overall, this is a simple but very practical upgrade if you want to make stairs or walkways safer for family, guests, or tenants. Also looks amazing with all the lights are off because it blows in the dark.

Good value and good job
These are easy to use. They stick well to my wooden deck stairs and have stayed fast through several rain storms. They provide just enough grip and the glow strip is helpful. They are a great deal compared to the $10 per stair tread I was finding elsewhere.

Great outdoor stair treads
These stair treads are truly great. Perfect for outdoor use! Easy to apply and I immediately felt safer on our steps. I have my business in my home, so thinking about my clients as well and their safety. I highly recommend. Love that they have the reflective strip on them too.

Enhanced Safety, Limited Glow
In my ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of my senior dog, I recently purchased the LifeGrip Anti-Slip Traction Treads with Glow in Dark Stripe. These treads were intended to provide added security on my back deck, which had become potentially hazardous due to freshly painted wooden steps that were slippery compared to the concrete ones my dog was accustomed to. After some time using them, I'd like to share my experiences and thoughts. Pros: Improved safety for pets: The primary reason for investing in these traction treads was to enhance the safety of my senior dog. Initially, he was a bit hesitant about the new texture underfoot, but as he got accustomed to it, I noticed a significant improvement in his confidence while going down the stairs. The treads effectively prevented him from slipping and provided the secure footing he needed. Relatively easy installation: Installing these traction treads was a straightforward process. They adhered well to the wooden steps and didn't require any complex tools or materials. This user-friendly installation was a definite advantage for someone like me who is not particularly handy. Cons: Glow in the dark feature may not be reliable: One aspect that didn't quite meet my expectations was the glow in the dark feature of these treads. Despite the promise of glowing stripes, I haven't noticed any significant illumination during nighttime. Fortunately, I have a security light that automatically comes on, which compensates for the lack of glow. However, if you rely solely on the glow feature for visibility, it might not be as effective as expected. Susceptible to wrinkling and pulling up in the rain: Another drawback I encountered was the performance of these treads in wet conditions. During rainy weather, the treads tended to wrinkle and could start to pull up from the steps. This required periodic adjustments and could potentially pose a slipping hazard if not addressed promptly. In conclusion, the LifeGrip Anti-Slip Traction Treads with Glow in Dark Stripe effectively served their primary purpose of enhancing the safety of my senior dog on the back deck. Their relatively easy installation was a plus, making them accessible to users with varying levels of DIY experience. However, the glow in the dark feature didn't live up to expectations, and it's advisable to have additional lighting in place. Additionally, be cautious in rainy conditions, as these treads may require maintenance to prevent wrinkling and pulling up. Overall, they provide valuable anti-slip protection but may have some limitations in specific scenarios.

Excellent product.
The traction treads were installed on the unfinished stairs from my main floor to the basement. Installation was a breeze. The stickiness of the underside of the treads was sufficient to provide a firm grip on the unfinished pressure treated wood and the sand grit-like upper surface provided excellent traction. The visibility stripe on the traction treads also provided an excellent aide for visually locating the edge of each step. Very happy with product.

Happy with this purchase!
Update: it is still strong and highly recommend this brand!! Just make sure it is brushed clean and I also used air duster to blow away tiny debris before applying. It is strong adhesive with nice anti slip traction!!! Exactly what I need for safety steps and does its job. Easy to peel

Installation Tips
Tips for installation: -Measure stair tread front to back and side to side. Calculate how far from the wall the tread should be. Manufacturer states the edge of the film should be 1/2" from the nose (front) of the stair tread. -Make a jig, a guide, out of cardboard so that each tread is placed exactly in the same place on each tread. See photo. Thinner cardboard worked better than thicker. Paper would be too flimsy to help with guiding. -I used two jigs, one for the corner to start the film and one to guide placement along the length. Without a guide it is difficult to keep the proper alignment as the film is applied. -Dust and grease are Kryptonite to adhesives so clean the steps well. I wiped the dust off, cleaned with a solution of Dawn dish detergent, dried with a paper towel and waited 5 minutes for further air dry. -Begin at the corner jig and align the edges as close as possible. Errors multiply as you go down the length. -Use the edge of the jigs to maintain alignment. It works best if you keep the backer lined up with the plastic film as you slowly pull the backer off. Work in 3-4" sections, checking alignment as you go. -After application. use a roller to insure good adhesion. Start in the center and roll to one edge, then roll to the other edge. Like in a chevron pattern. This prevents wrinkles. -I ordered the LIfeGrip 4" roller rather than use the 2" roller that the treads come with. The 2" roller is flimsy. The 4" roller worked well but it did break about half way through - see photo. It continued to work okay. My thoughts: the plastic film is easy on bare feet, not scratchy at all. Although it is translucent, you can see it on the steps because our steps have a bit of shine and the plastic film is matte. Personally I like this way better than carpet pads - less noticeable, easier to clean.

Good grip and fit
Good pre cut length - I can't comment on the stickiness though as I had to put them down on wet wood steps, so used a staple gun, but still good grip.

Steps safer for family and guests
My husband installed these LifeGrip anti-slip traction treads on a couple of steps in a low lighting area and they made an immediate difference. They looks great and with all the lights are off glow in the dark. The surface has a gritty, high-traction texture that add a noticeable amount of grip without being overly bulky. Installation was straightforward just clean the surface, peel the backing, and stick them down. The adhesive feels strong and once applied, they stay in place without lifting. Overall, this is a simple but very practical upgrade if you want to make stairs or walkways safer for family and guests.
