The best laptop cooler I’ve ever owned.
This is by far the best laptop cooler I have ever owned, and quite possibly the best on the market. Before getting this cooler, I had gone through several others, and they were all either unreliable, or couldn’t cool properly. When I got this one however, I cringed a little at the price. It’s expensive, don’t get me wrong, but after you’ve had it for long enough and realized how it works, it’s definitely worth it. Back in early March of 2025, just after I had gotten this cooler, my laptop, an Asus ROG strix scar 17” with high end processor and graphics, crashed. It was a motherboard issue, likely caused by overheating due to the original laptop cooler being inferior. While I waited for that to return, I swapped to an old laptop, and began using this cooler. The effects were phenomenal. Fast forward about a month, my newer laptop was still at Asus, still out of commission. They said they were ordering parts for it, and it would be a while before they got there. One of the fans on the turbofrost went out. A bad bearing. I contacted the Klim support team, and they told me that they couldn’t replace the fan with the bad bearing, but instead, replaced the entire unit free of charge, and it arrived at my doorstep in two days. The laptop that I ordered the cooler for was never repaired. ASUS customer support in the end sent me a refurbished replacement, and told me that it had a 90 day warranty, this was only after I blew up at them because they told me that they would not be able to fix mine until at least September. Over six months after I had sent it in. Fast forward to now, the time of this review, and the laptop cooler is still going strong. Last night I had a few issues with my laptop overheating. I was trying to figure out why, was it my cooler? Was something wrong with my hardware? As a first step, I took apart my laptop, and began to clean out the filters…. But wait- it was nearly immaculate inside. My eyes shifted then to the cooler… I rested my hand over the air output… the airflow was there, but weak. Unplugged the cooler, flipped it over, and had a look at the filter…. That thing, let me tell you, was disgusting. I had over a quarter inch of dust on the filter, and it was choking my cooler, and subsequently my laptop. But! With a quick hit of the vacuum, being careful not to suck the filter up, it was clean again. I put it all back together, and the airflow was back. Just as strong as I remembered it. With that issue now fixed. My core temperatures dropped by nearly 30°C, and my overheating issue was resolved. Moral of the story, clean your filters regularly. It is a little loud at max RPM. There is just so much airflow that it whistles through the cooler, but when set at 3000, it is barely noticeable. With adjustable angles for better viewing, adjustable fan speeds for more effective cooling, and adjustable RGB for faster gaming speeds- (RGB lighting makes gaming rigs run faster right…? It’s like flames on a car!) this continues to be one of the best coolers I have ever owned, and if it ever does manage to die because I’ve run it 24/7 365 since I got it, I’ll be spending the money, and buying another one, because it’s well worth it.

Great Laptop Cooler with great Customer Support. Does what it is supposed to do and does it well.
What prompted this review was really more from my experience with KLIM Customer Support than the actual item. After receiving the cooler, I emailed them a request for sourcing an additional 12 Volt power supply (one came with the cooler but I wanted an extra to leave in a motor home) from Amazon, and within a few hours I received a very courteous reply with a specific model to order, which I did. This along with the very Customer Centric (and humorous) documentation material that came with the cooler gave me a warm fuzzy feeling that excellent support can be had when/if ever needed. KLIM as a company appears to have a great "personality" and I am guessing it is a fun place to work. This is my first laptop "cooler", so I have nothing else for comparison. I am using it for an HP Z Book Studio X360 G5 with an I7 8750H CPU and NVIDIA P1000 Quadro GPU. Air intake is from the bottom with exhaust at both ends. It's not the "latest and greatest" and certainly not a high-end gaming machine, but it meets my needs of business and some Photoshop Graphics work when traveling away from my desktop units. But it has had a tendency to run hot especially with graphics loads. WITHOUT the KLIM cooler, "normal" temps have been in the 75C to 80C range with occasional heat throttling temps of 90C+. WITH the cooler operating at 3,000 to 4,000 RPM, temps have been reduced to the 55C-60C range with occasional peaks under load of 65C...as reported by HWiNFO 64. Ambient room temperature is typically at about 24.4C / 76F. Before purchasing I had noticed some reviews complaining about excessive noise, no cooling effect, bad odor, only uses two of the four fans with USB laptop power, no air filtration, air intake at the bottom, claim of 16,000 RPM, and high price. Commenting on these reported issues based on my opinions and experience with this unit to date actually covers a lot of this review: 1. NOISE. I have noticed zero mechanical noise, but yes, you can hear air movement. At full speed 4,000 RPM of each of the four fans, air movement sound is noticeable...but certainly not objectionable, at least not to me. Unless you are using a true Thermo Electric / Peltier effect cooling system, the ONLY cooling benefits of this unit or any other similar fan-based unit, is from forcing additional ambient temp air into the laptop, resulting in additional air flowing over the laptop's heat exchange system. More air means more sound from the air movement...and this is likely more from the laptop's internal air flow path and exhaust vent size than anything the cooler itself causes. If I turn the cooler over and listen at the bottom, I can hear a bit of sound from the intake, but not much. All the cooler does is produce a positive high pressure air source to the intake of the laptop. The more positive pressure, the more air flow. I don't have an air flow meter, but the laptop's exhaust air volume is a LOT higher with the cooler than without. And right now as I write this review , CPU avg temp is 48C at 3,000 RPM. 2. NO COOLING EFFECT. I certainly don’t have the reviewer’s personal experience to draw from, but, from my experience, I don’t see how this could be. More air flow into and out of the laptop means more CPU cooling. Based on my comments in number 1, I have ask if there could be something wrong in the air flow path of the reviewer's laptop (intake restriction maybe???). Or maybe the laptop’s air intake didn’t mesh with the cooling unit’s discharge area? 3. BAD ODOR. No noticeable odor / smell at all. My wife concurs and she has an Olympic gold standard of smell. 4. ONLY USES TWO OF THE FOUR FANS WITH USB LAPTOP POWER. Yeah, the description might coulda been a Bit clearer on this...but regardless, I did see this in another review, and it doesn't make any difference to me. Running only two fans from USB power is a good compromise for battery life of the laptop. 5. NO AIR FILTRATION. My unit has an easily removable / washable filter over the bottom air intake. 6. AIR INTAKE AT THE BOTTOM. Yes, it is, but not sure why this is seen as a problem. It's not a problem for me. 7. CLAIM OF 16,000 RPM: Yeah, I guess this could be considered a bit misleading, but I consider it just "MARKETING MATH"... and there is clear description of four fans running at full speed of 4,000 RPM each. I put this in the same "Marketing Speak hyperbole" category as "unleash Cryogenic Cooling". I doubt if anyone who can operate a computer would believe this cooling unit could achieve minus 130F cryogenic temp or even match its description name of "TURBOFROST" (frost requiring temps close to the freezing point of water). 8. HIGH PRICE. Subjective...of course, I would have preferred to pay $50.00 or $25.00, and a lot of others on Amazon are cheaper. I looked at them and made the decision that the apparent quality of the KLIM unit justified the price. This and them having solid Customer Support. But darn it, it is now about $5.00 cheaper than a few days ago when I purchased it . Luck of the draw I suppose. Now a few minor nitpicks: 1. The USB and DC power ports are deeply recessed into the back, making them a bit challenging to insert...but not a significant problem. 2. RGB lighting. An annoying distraction to me but probably appeals to the vast majority of buyers. No problem since I can turn it off by depressing the RGB color button for a few seconds. But my preference would be a simple on/off slide switch to permenantly disable the lights. 3. ummmm...can't think of anything else. All in all, it appears well constructed and totally does what it is supposed to do...it works! I would definitely purchase it again…especially at $5.00 less cost😊. Of course, the real test will be its performance over time, but I feel it will meet that challenge!

best ever laptop cooler
I previously bought two products from this company to cool my HP Omen with the top-of-the-line graphics processor at the time of my purchase. I can say that these coolers kept my machine alive for the last four years. I recently got into a situation where I did not have those coolers, as I am out of state, and so I bought this new 4000rpm fan system, and it is magnificent. The top of my Omen would get hot enough to certainly cook an egg, and it was hard to put on your lap; it was so hot. This product reduces the heat to ever so slightly warm. which is amazing. This is the best. It is very quiet, and the support allows for a myriad of positions for your laptop. The added USB outlets are really needed on my Omen, but then there never seems to be enough of them nowadays. I do not dislike the lighting I guess it is an added enhancement. My principal goal in buy this product was to cool my machine and it does that better than the other two I purchased from them which are good products at 2500 rpm they cooled the machine for four years but not as well as this system. I highly recomend this companies products and this particular one is excellent

Best unit when I purchased!
We received this item and tested on the first day. This unit comes with 4 fans having a max speed of 4,000 rpms each while powered from the wall (this is where the fabled 16,000 rpm comment comes from). Max speed while powered from the computer is 3,300 RPMS - (seen on another video). The noise has a different tone at 4,000 RPMs and is a tolerable mid 50’s dBs. Stressing the quality of the fan noise as positive if you need to run at Max speed. At lower speeds this improves greatly becoming whisper quiet. 2500 rpms seems like an excellent sweet spot for average applications. We tested on a MSI laptop running a graphically intensive Call of Duty Game. While unsure of the exact title, I am sure my son’s laptop was hitting 201F according to the MSI temp system. When the speed of the cooler was applied at 4,000 rpms the temp was brought down from 201 to 168F. The combination of 4 fans and the sealing mat (held in place by magnets) work synergistically to raise inlet air pressure to your laptops cooling system drastically impacting air movement - positively. While this is a higher priced system, it will go a long ways preserving the integrity of laptops used on it. I found the overall build quality to be ‘Good’ to ‘Excellent’! Sealing mat - excellent 4 fans - excellent LED - good Speed control - excellent Dual power source - excellent and rare to unique Noise profile - Top Tier! - mid 50’s dB’s at 4000 rpms Angle bracket - ‘Ok’ - this is the one aspect I would suggest the manufacturer improve upon

is what it is
I bought this to pair with my alienware area 51m, never runs hot with this thing. fits perfectly and fans do get noisy when you ramp it up to 4000 rpm's the issue i have with this is the rgb. everytime i turn it on i had to reset to the color i wanted. sometimes i'd have to unplug it and replug it in to get all the lights to work and still there would be some that were displaying wrong color. ie. i had it set to blue but there would be a small section with red lights. at that point i just turned off rgb and used the fans.

Best laptop cooler around
I had previously purchased a competitors brand and found this was the superior product. Primarily prefer this due to its ability to plug into my laptop using USB-C and function to near top capacity at I believe 3400 RPM whereas plugged in to wall outlet is like 3800-4000RPM. So 3400 is PLENTY strong airflow to keep my laptop cool. The other brand would not function unless plugged into wall outlet which was a big turnoff as it limits portability. This has been taken traveling and it easy to use on a laptop table. It makes noise but isn’t so loud you can’t hear anything. I’ve played without headphones and heard everything just fine. The RGB is fancy and bright with multiple functions. Love this enough to buy one for my girlfriend too

UPDATED: Product is great, but shipping is terrible of USED products!
Update review: from 5-stars to 1 Star after 3 buy trials. The cooling pad itself is AWESOME. I bought the original one 2 years ago. I actually use it on my Ps4 Pro Model to keep the bottom of unit cooler and raised from the carpeting, providing more airflow (although the PS4 Pro is cooled from the sides, keeping airflow in bottom of unit helps prevent overheating, which is a huge problem for the Ps4 models, as the power supply is stupidly placed inside the casing, instead of being outside the unit on the power cord). The LED colors are cool (I only use solid blue, however), and the fan is a balance between strong enough to cool and not ultra loud. Fan speed is adjustable for laptop use. UPDATE: I bought another one of these awesome cooling pads after a few years for a laptop (keeping the original one for Ps4 Pro). It arrived opened and damaged with the box kicked in the front (see first photo). Sent for replacement. UPDATE 2: Got the replacement and the replacement came in with its side torn off, and I tested it and would not turn on. Sent back for refund. UPDATE 3: I want this cooling pad so bad, I ordered one more, but this time I noticed that these are NOT sold by KLIM; they are sold by a HK company called Excelsior. This seller, Excelsior is selling USED and damaged KLIM laptop cooling fans as NEW!!! This is not acceptable. This is my 3rd and final try to buy this awesome cooling pad product that, because these are NOT coming from KLIM. The KLIM cooling pad box had no seal in, was damaged on the side (see pics) and it was already opened. -_- Not only that, but the inside of the outer shipping box was DIRTY, with sticky fluid in it (smelled like honey or a sweet glue, except this cooling pad was shipped in its own box, which tells me this is likely a returned open/damaged item or Amz packing staff dropped this on a dirty packing table. Unacceptable either way!! :( While this is (was?) an awesome cooking pad for laptops and gaming consoles, here is the problem: Amz fulfillment has been terrible, by shipping items that are clearly used/damaged/dirty as new! I ordered a NEW pad for a work laptop. The first one sent was opened (these come sealed with a KLIM sticker). Sent back. Second one sent was crushed on top AND opened!! (See pic). Sending back again. Will try a 3rd time because it is such a great product! What is going on?? It appears KLIM is now run by a 3rd party company from HK called Excelsior. KLIM should discuss this with Amz warehouse if that is their fault, because this is absurd! But I get the feeling Amz is shipping used and damaged items from Excelsior…

Good construction - Works straight out of 'box'
I have a gaming laptop that is kinda showing it's age [MSI Crosshair 15 Rainbow Six - i9 12900H, Geforce RTX 3070, 64GB Ram, 2x Sabrent Rocket 4 M.2 SSD running Win 11]. I was using KLIM Mistrel which I, regretably, damaged - it was 5 or so years old and a great little workhorse. I wanted a cooler that would be a good replacement for the old one. Enter the KLIM Turbofrost. I bought KLIM Turbofrost partly because I had seen some fair revues of it and partly because KLIM is a brand I trust - this is myfith Klim cooler [various laptops] and friends who got KLIM coolers on my advice are delighted with there coolers. The sales materials for this cooler on Amazon and elsewhere online are, as far as I can tell, acurate and truthful. Pros: Very easy to set up Can be powered via USB or wall outlet [adaptor included] Included USB 3 to USB C data / power cable for the 3 Port USB 3 Hub♠ Sturdy construction Draws air from underneath - no worries about possible intake of expelled warm air Strong adjustable hieght mechanism Aluminium 'heatsink' plate [between laptop and cooler vents Powerful fans with max 4000 RPM♣ Adjustable foam 'riser' gives a great seal while letting excess air escape♥ Metal restraints that help hold laptop in place [easily height adjustable] Multiple effect [or off] RGB lighting♦ ♠ At the rear; cooler has a USB Hub. The hub is not powered from the power in [wall outlet] power source but from a USB port on laptop. The included cable goes from a usb port of the latop to USB C of the hub thus providing power for the hub and data transfer. There are three [3] USB 3 ports. I have ran a usb lamp and USB Blu Ray from the hub at same tim with no issues. When not powered from wall outlet the USB C cable also powers the cooler. ♣ When Powered from USB the laptop will use only 2 fans and reach a max 3300RPM not the max 4000RPM [needs outlet power]. However the 3300RPM will be good for many applications. In testing the cooling results [idle desktop] 12 to 13 degrees dropping by about 1 degree per step down [1500 gave about a 5-6 degree drop]. I used Hardware monitors and graphics / CPU stress testers and played Avowed, Atomfall, Startrek Online ane Elderscrolls Online all to test the cooling results. I did some video playback [USB Bluray], light video editing, audio editing, image editing and office task including '.pdf' work. ♥ The foam is like 'memory foam' and provides a very good 'seal' between laptop and cooler while still allowing for air flow. The foam is held in place with four magnet [corners] and comes with a pre-cut detatchable piece - larger laptops = detatch piece - smaller laptops = leave piece in place. ♦ I'm not fond of RGB effects so I either pick a colour and leave it solid or switch this feature off. There are several effecs to 'play with' - you do you! Cons: For me there are no cons as I find the KLIM Turbofrost ideal for my needs. However ther is two things that could cause issue; 1 - This cooler is a beast! Although not too heavy the cooler is [to put it kindly] 'chunky'. Size can matter in a laptop cooler so keep this in mind. 2 - Noise! I could not find my Db meter to monitor the sound. The cooler goes all the way to eleven so to put it! At 1500 RPM the cooler is very quiet but as the RPM increases so does the noise. Up to 3000 RPM the noise is not bad and not too distracting. If you go to 3500 RPM the cooler is fairly noisy but still not too bad. At 4000 RPM the noise [all 4 fans] is somewhat distracing and it is best to turn laptop audio up thus contributing to an 'all in all' quite loud experince that will likely get you ejected from the family room! Although it is not strictly needed, I would recomend using a good set of headphones, preferably with good noise canecelling, in a private room when gaming with the RPM at full power. The cooler is well packaged, has instruction manual and a quaint comic strip fold out included. There are also STICKERS! We all love a sticker! In a very good way the KLIM Turbofrost goes all the way to eleven! The cooler is competitavely priced and reviews well against more expansive brands or models.

Must buy
I don't take the time to write a lot of reviews but I truly believe this product deserve the best review possible. First of all, it is THE BEST cooling pad i've ever used. It keeps my CPU very cool. I had issue lately with overheating when playing AAA games even with a (cheaper) cooling pad. No more crashes with the turbofrost, it keeps my CPU at 50c at max. The fans aren't as noisy as a lot of people are saying, and when you rest your laptop on the foam, it silences it even more. My laptop fans are noisier than the cooling pad. It's conception is sturdy, ergonomic and looks good. Fans can be set from 1500 to 4000 RPM by 500 RPM increment, but I just keep it at 4000 RPM. Packaging looks good and you get a little gift from KLIM. Very impressed by the product and price. It is a must buy if you want to keep your laptop cool and healthy while gaming.
