Bought this as a "backup" for our central air unit that's over 30 yrs old. They don't make them like that anymore, but we don't want to be against the wall when it does give up. Our bedroom window can't accept a standard window unit. Waited (minimum 6 hours) for the oil in the unit to settle after delivery, to set it up and try it out. The window setup was easy, the hose is adequate - not super flimsy, the unit runs quiet enough. I cut up a pool noodle to use as a foam support for the window duct. I ran it for a good test run, and experienced no problems, with good cooling power. Not mentioned in the description - is the unit is designed to flow water from the evaporator, over the condenser. Minimizing the need for draining, and increasing efficiency. There is a port to drain it to a bucket, if the humidity is so high it's overwhelming that system. Great value for some peace of mind.

It’s a good size moveable AC. A bit heavy but easy to set up and get going. It also cools the room down quickly and keeps it at the temperature you want. The fans a bit loud, but still quieter than other portable AC I’ve been around. The designs nice, very sleek and clean. The window slot piece fit perfectly into my sliding window. Overall, this AC works amazing and I’m so pleased I got it. The price was worth the investment!

I had no idea what to expect for this portable air conditioner but I was very surprised by the quality and sturdiness of the unit, and really surprised how cooling it was able to provide our quite large condo. Definitely worth the price, a little bit on the loud side, not much different than the wall unit so that was a little disappointing but not a deal breaker because it works wonderfully.

On July 17, decided to order a back up room A/C "just in case" because I live in FL. Plus, I'm in my 70's and extreme heat is dangerous for folks my age. Checked all the reviews for a 10,000 BTU and the ZAFRO seemed to be the best fit. It was due to arrive July 24. That night, my whole house A/C stopped working. Repairman ordered the part but it wouldn't be in until Tuesday. Florida was starting a heat wave, 98 degrees each day and it was miserable. No rooms at the only local motel that would accept pets!! I went to my nearest big box store and bought an unknown named portable A/C unit for my bedroom. Inside the house was 93, my office went as high as 99 and it was too hot to leave the bedroom. Saturday, the 19th, Amazon delivered the ZAFROS!!! 5 days early!!! I'll take it! Immediately installed it in the office. It took about 4 1/2 hrs to cool a 25 x 12 room (huge floor to ceiling windows on 3 sides) from 99 to 81 degrees. I opted to empty water buckets because it was so hot and humid. I figured the extreme water output at first would overwhelm the water extractor and I didn't want the machine to shut down automatically. ZAFROS was on continuously five days and saved my sanity. The unit is smaller than the emergency one I bought, it was a breeze to open as you cut the plastic straps and then lift the box off the A/C unit. Wheels are already on. Adjusting the panels to the large window was simple. I had to look around for my own foam weather stripping to form the seal, but it was easy to hook the exhaust hose up. The window ledge was too tall so ended up using paint stirrers under the panel so the exhaust hose would clear the window sill. It worked great, noise is no more than a window unit, plus I can easily roll it to what ever room I want. I'm leaving it in the office, because with all those windows, sometimes that room needs a little extra help to keep it comfortable. I'm thoroughly impressed with the ZAFROS 10,000 BTU portable A/C, it held up admirably to this extreme Florida heat, very easy for me to install and use, the remote control is easy to understand, noise level was not unexpected, even though I chose to empty buckets at first, that was relatively easy. Plus it was delivered straight to my door. I feel I made a good choice with the ZAFROS and I'm ready for the next "Heat Dome" which is expected next week.

(EDIT: lowered from 4-1 stars worked great all summer, after 1 day of sunning it this summer it has stopped producing cold air not sure how to fix this?) •it’s loud but not terrible compared to a fan •window exhaust unit does not come with a screw to set the correct size and may not be adjustable to fit certain windows. You must purchase window insulation to apply around the window unit to be air tight(not included) (15$ on amazon) • works well with cooling

Worth it for an apartment, biggest issue is how much water that comes out on AC mode. It did its job front the summer and saved me money compared to the apartment AC. Biggest issue was 3rd party delivered it and ended up getting a replacement 2 weeks after the fact and really needed it in the dead of Summer but I did get it. Good value for money. Ease installation, kinda loud, I like the remote with the temperature controls and can program it for your sleep. Had an issue with the AC not turning on until I turned the Fan option on before it and then it would kick on but haven't used it since.

I've been using this for a few days now. So far it's been great. I keep it on my bedroom and it easily cools it down. I run it at 70 which feels amazing in 95° plus weather outside. Had no problems keeping me cool in the triple digit heatwave the other day. I do pair it with with a ceiling fan and a tower fan pretty much on top of me as I sleep because I need air hitting me or I sweat in my sleep. But it does cool the room down fine. I have a 20x20 bedroom. Its fairly quiet, easy to setup, easy controls. There's sleep timers, temp settings, fan only mode, dehumidifier, and AC.

Very easy to get it up and running. Very quiet and works great! Its a good size, not overly big and bulky. Very easy to operate and the remote makes it quite convenient. I am satisfied with this air conditioner and would recommend it.
