The story was beautifully and heart-wrenchingly written. Cried a lot while reading it. I loved it so much that I have bought another copy to give as a gift. Even though this is a difficult read because it tells the story of real suffering that is happening even now, I think it is important for people read this book. To know the stories and feelings of the people and to see them as more than just tragic headlines in the news. 10/10. Definitely recommend.

Besonders berührend ist der innere Konflikt zwischen Überleben, Schuldgefühlen und dem Wunsch nach Freiheit.Der Schreibstil ist poetisch, emotional und bleibt lange im Kopf. Viele Szenen gehen unter die Haut und lassen einen auch nach dem Lesen nicht los. Ein wichtiges Buch, das Empathie schafft und zum Nachdenken anregt. Das Buch hat mich so bewegt, dass ich sogar eine Collage dazu erstellt habe, um meine Gefühle und Gedanken nach dem Lesen auszudrücken. Ein wichtiges, emotionales Buch, das man nicht vergisst.

Very good story, sad but uplifting.

This book really stayed with me. The story is emotional and beautifully written, and it does a great job of showing the characters' fear, hope and love while keeping the story engaging. The main character feels very real, and it was easy to get invested in what she was going through.I also liked how the book balances the heavier parts of the story with moments of friendship, love and hope. Some parts were genuinely heartbreaking and made me want to keep reading just to see what would happen next.Overall, a powerful and emotional read. Definitely recommend it if you like stories that make you feel deeply connected to the characters and stay on your mind even after finishing the book.

Book quality is terrible. The pages are uneven, there are tears on the pages. Given that this is such a great book, I’m disappointed at the quality of the book
