Hi. This says it's for people with a high arch. Why wouldn't it be right for a person with flat feet that is trying to improve their arches? Thanks.

You won't know til you try. I had been buying inserts supposedly for flat feet. I have extremely flat feet. My doctor sent me for physical therapy because of ankle pain. The therapist analyzed my gait and said I needed more arch support to correct my over pronation. I now use supports made for high arches and find I need the firm support. No more ankle pain.

I have flat feet and usually use Superfeet green, but they are too expensive. Would this be a good alternative or are there better options for me?

I have a high arch and they give me the support I need, since I am on my feet all day long. I love them and will buy more for my other boots. Not sure if they will work for flat feet, but they really work for me.

Do you need to remove your originial shoe insoles to use these?

Yes, I remove the soles that come with the shoes. I put them on top of new Sof Sole and trim with scissors for exact fit.

Can I throw these through the washer? They are extremely smelly and dirty... baking soda isn't enough. They need a deep clean! Washer?

I've only hand washed these using Palmolive dishwashing detergent; but have had no problems doing that. I can't speak for putting them in the washer.
