I didn’t think this would work so well, but at the price it is I thought might as well give it a go. It did work! I had an induced labor and didn’t want to get an epidural, this little comb (along with very supportive family and staff) got me to the finish line. I did ask for the epidural, at 9.5cm so whoops a little too late but that’s how much this comb helped is I was fine until then. Just kept squeezing it. I will note I was induced for various reasons but one was a weird pain where placenta was that got worse with certain positions (like all the ones nurses put you in to help get there like flying cowgirl) and this comb helped so much during that too! For about $5 might as well get it see it if works for you too. Very nice comb in general imo like looks nice, made of wood not plastic which I like a lot. And! Best part besides helping with pain, it has a little loop for the wrist because once labor gets for real, all sorts of things are tossed to the side, clothes, dignity lol, but this little comb stays right there with you. In fact they had to pry it out of my hand once things were over I was still gripping it. Just add it to your registry, snag it once you get the completion discount or have it gifted, worst case it doesn’t work for you for whatever reason, and you have a cute wooden memento from labor to tuck into a memory box. I also like that it has a nice engraved message too, something about strength I forget the exact words. Cliche but helped in moments to see it, and feel the engraved words with finger tips.

This is a nice tool to have in labour. As opposed to just using a regular comb I think the wrist strap makes the biggest difference. I also appreciated how pretty and well made it was. Support people beware: I slapped my husband in the face with this when I threw my arms up during a contraction lol. He made it out fine.

Super helpful during labour and provided a medium level of impact/pain/distraction (depending on your grip strength). Good quality and helpful case to put it in and protect.
