Can't go wrong with these step by step instructions for how to play accordion but also how to understand music. Not just for kids. I love the pictures and who cares about the design. All you got to do is practice. Even if you can't master one piece in one day. Go back the next day. The fact that these books are so old and still around is a true gift to the family. Thank you.

I eventually got to book 9 when I was 13, but was taught this book at 12. Still can play these challenging pieces. They didn't go easy on students when you got this far.

Excellent detailed, well-structured, organized, skill-based approach to learning how to play accordion. Highly recommended. However, could use some major updates (graphics designed for pre-adolescents, song choices reflect 1950’s). But all that would cost money and not actually improve the instruction. So, still highly recommended.
