The Official XHose PRO Expanding Garden Hose Pipe with BONUS adaptor, 75ft, Black

After 4 uses it literally exploded. There was a ripping sound as the seam of the outer material cover tore apart, followed by a screeching as the inner rubber hose part rapidly expanded like a balloon being filled with gas, and then a final deafening bang as the whole thing exploded and drenched me. All this within the space og approximatel 5 seconds maximum, I had no time to react. I consider this product to be dangerous. Never again!

Brought this as a replacement hose to one that had developed a leak at the end of last year.Initially delighted with the improved sturdier brass fittings and softer weave of outer covering of my previous purchase. But after using it the first time found the fabric snagged and pulled leaving loose loops!Beware if you need it to trail over guard surface such as tarmac or paving.So definitely NOT an improvement on the original hardier fabric canvas type weave .Have contacted the seller abouts my concerns and am awaiting reply.Photo shows both new and older outer covers.

I have only had this product since the end of February and only started using it in the last four weeks to water my new plants, I have put in my garden I can only have used it a maximum of ten times, and it has exploded on me today the 6th of June 2018. My last proper xhose I had lasted me years I am certainly not happy. I have come on to contact the seller but I do not seem to have a way of doing it so I am going to complain to Amazon. as when the hose exploded on me it was very scary.

I don't know what the problem is but the X hose is leaking from various parts on the hose and I presume this prevents water flow all the way through, so what is happening is that water is not reaching the end of the hose. I also bought the X hose 8 speed nozzle and the storage hook but this problem means the water isn't reaching the nozzle, rendering the the X Hose not fit for purpose. This was only bought and received near the end of May 18, so surely I should have been able to get some use from it??? Instead during this really hot weather it is just sitting in the garden unable to be used, so I am not a very happy or impressed customer! I do have other hoses but had decided to buy this one as it seemed to resolve the issue of not being able to reel hose back in easily and at the same time it appeared to address the problem of keeping it tidy after use, at the same time!

Bought this to replace one I had for 6 or 7 years which finally split and starting leaking. Arrived on time in genuine X-Hose retail packaging with promised components and instructions. I still have all the bits and pieces from the previous hose and so didn't need a new spray gun etc. Connected hose to lawn sprinkler without issues or leaks, expanding to its full size. You do need to connect these up to the tap with the with the hose switch in the off position to get them to expand before starting to use them. Then make sure that this is in the open position when you turn off your water tap so the water can escape and the hose can contract. The weak point for me previously was the plastic hose on/off switch which broke after 3 or 4 years of use on my old hose and had to be replaced - time will tell with the new one.Didn't trust any of the cheaper alternatives given the years of use I had with X-Hose previously and although I do think it is on the expensive side I would recommend these to anyone wanting the convenience of an expanding hose. Mine is stored away neatly in a bucket.

this is the 2nd one bought .... the first lasted about 9 mnths before the hose split ... the replacement was bought back in April but has only been used really since the wet weather start in Oct ... we use it for washing the muddy dogs down ... both hoses have been kept in the garage and used properly, the hose always fully expanded before the outlet valve turned on ... the fixed end plastic inlet valve on the latest one has just snapped and cant be replaced .... I have noticed there is no obvious guarantee listed with the product ... wonder why?Great when it is working but inferior product really .... if you are prepared to buy a replacement every 6 mnths fine ... would i buy another ... no chance ... false economy ... cost me prob £40 to find outJust bought the HENGQIANG Expandable Garden Hose, Brass Fittings Strongest Hose Pipe with 9 Spray Pattern, Retractable, Flexible, Never Kink, Lightweight Portable Wat - same price, and highly rated ... will report back at some point with compare

I have had x-hoses in the past and found them very useful. However, having bought this one I used it 3 times before springing a leak. Now the only think I can think if is that I need to walk round a corner and up some steps to reach the garden so I assume it has snagged somewhere along the way. Even so, it's not sharp edges we're talking about, its normal bricks and paving. I can only assume that the outer covering is not as robust as it used to be as my previous one lasted ages. Sadly I have now resorted to the traditional reel and hose as I'm just not confident another x-hose will last.

I've bought at least 3 of these for myself, and also as presents for family members. They work extremely well and store tightly & tidily... Until they stop working. Unfortunately they have a short life span.I used to think they were fantastic, and that the fails/leaks/breaks were somehow our fault. But I no longer trust the quality/longevity enough to invest in another from this brand.Despite being treated with lots of TLC across winters & summers, our latest xhose failed us after about 2 years - the longest so far - but still not good enough considering the brand premium & accumulated cost of replacements.
