Affordable, effective.
First time doing Ethernet cables; no prior experience or training here. It was easy.Tips for first timers:1. The end pieces it comes with are "push through", which means you're supposed to push the arranged wires through the clear clips a bit so you can easily see they went through in the right order. The crimping tool cut the wires perfectly flush. I tried to make them perfectly flush before crimping; don't waste your time: the tool does it right.2. The direction the clip faces matters. I did mine all backwards first. Do one, test it and make sure it works, then do the others. It comes with a bunch of end things (don't know what they're called, tips, clips, wire protector rubber bits) so if you mess up, it's not problem, you've got plenty. It came with way more than I realized. I tossed it in my "box of random wires" and I'm pretty sure it will last a lifetime. Doesn't feel cheap or flimsy at all to me.

Worked well
I was helping a friend with his new house he was building. He was running wires himself prior to getting the walls up, so I helped out there since I'm in the networking field. But the crimper I had was only for standard RJ45, not pass through ends. So we used my ends I had extra still until we ran out and had to continue another time.I snagged this, got it delivered next day, and was able to continue with the pass through ends that he had that we hadn't been able to use up to that point. Went on well, this did a clean cut of all the wires, and everything terminated fine.

Great Tool Kit with One Weakness
I bought this kit to convert my Cat 5e phone lines into ethernet. I figured that I would put RJ45 passthrough connectors on each end and forgo keystone jacks. Well, I learned that was not a good idea after purchasing this toolkit.Overall, this toolkit is a great value for MOST of the items. The connectors and covers are good quality, the tester works as expected, the wire cutter is sharp, and the stripper/punchdown is the MVP of the group. The real loser is the crimper itself, which is why most people buy this kit to begin with. It looks like every other crimper sold on Amazon, but doesn't function correctly (as least mine doesn't). The stripper part on the tool is I'm guessing for Cat 6 cables as it too big for my Cat 5e. The cutter on it works, but the pliers given work better. The crimp part is where this thing falls flat. It seems to work just fine until you actually test out your ethernet cables. The connectors either don't pass data fully or they do and then they don't. I tested this over and over and came to the conclusion that the crimp tool is not crimping uniformly across the connector when pushed down. The gold contacts have markings afterwards where the brown wire connector is more scarred than the orange/white at the beginning. This tells me it is pushing down more on the one end than the other. It seemed that the #8 wire was always randomly working/not working on the tester. I would sometimes get 1Gbps, 100Mpbs, and sometimes it would keep disconnecting. I know it must be the crimp tool as I converted one end to a keystone jack and I immediately saw improvement. I bought a patch panel to use in my media cabinet for the other ends and voila my cable problems are over. Yes, I had the wires in the connectors correctly and everything. This tool just does not crimp the connections correctly with even pressure across the connector (even if it look perfect afterwards). I'm not sure if the gold contacts are being marked too much or not pushed down enough. If you are buying this for the crimp tool, then you may get a faulty one like I did. The other items seems to work great and are worth the package alone (especially the cheap yellow stripper / punchdown tool). I ended up keeping this kit for the other items, but will trash the crimp tool itself. Of course if you want to return one item, you have to return the entire kit and risk getting something else broken. Take your chances on this kit, but don't expect everything to work.

Ethernet cable tool with accessories
This tool works great for the price. I got this for a new Ethernet cable that broke a tab, and just installed a new connector to each end. The tool comes with some instructions, but make sure you know which type of cable configuration you need before you throw away the old connector. It will save you the headache in the end.

Works as advertised
This product has high ratings, but I was nervous about the few who posted 1 and 2 stars. I received the items and have replaced four connections already. The process is straight forward and the tool works well. I have not needed the small plastic wire stripper as the main tool has all of the things needed to cut, strip and crimp. The pass-through process works and makes cutting and crimping easy. The tricky part is getting all of the wires lined up. The first time was challenging but it gets easier. I did the last connector by inserting 1 wire at a time. That might seem difficult or time consuming, but that process worked best for me. The tester worked well and actually caught a mistake I made. On one job, two wires crossed when I inserted the connector, and I did not notice. The tester caught the error. Make sure you have a 9v battery for the tester.

Just as good as a Klein Tools model.
Personally, I actually prefer this model over Klein's. It's very slightly smaller, and replacing the cutting blades is easier. Although, the reference sticker is superior with Klein Tools' model. This one began too peel fairly early-on, and quickly. Nothing a bit of good clear tape cant fix.Comes with a good assortment of relevant tools (save for those little yellow wire cutters. I wish they'd stop making 'em lol).
