Superb!
This is the best ‘pinky’ grip I’ve found so far... and I’ve tested three now.The genius of this one is that...1. It’s very comfortable.2. It’s really quick to change batteries.3. There is a slot to attach a spider holster, tripod, money maker etc.4. It’s light weight and doesn’t add bulk to the camera.5. Price. Okay, not ‘cheap’ but WAY cheaper and more practical than the Sony version. The only thing (and this is a little minor) is that it doesn’t have two tiny plastic ‘spokes’ that slot in to the Sony body. So it ‘could’ be more of an exact fit when you attach it to the body.In any case, it’s fits my A9 & A7iii really well. I’ll be buying another for my second camera.

Great value, fantastic quality - does exactly what was needed
This is exactly what i was looking for my Sony A7iii - a pinky grip (small finger grip) that gives the A7 a full DSLR grip/feel while also being able to access the battery without removing or moving the grip. The grip is made from 2 interlocking pieces of sturdy aluminum alloy - 1 piece is the actual pinky grip and the other piece is the tripod mount. The pieces can be used either separately, grip or tripod mount, or joined together. The reason you 'may' want to only use the tripod mount might be that on some tripods, when both pieces are used on the camera base, the raise battery cover part 'may' foul the tripod entry, orientation or tripod adjustments... i had NO problem using it with both pieces being used and mounted to my Rollie ball head tripod or with my Neewer heavy duty tripod ball head. Also has a 1/4" thread on the end for 90 degree orientation on to a non adjustable monopod/tripod.The only very, very minor point is there is no small interlocking pin ( that should insert in to the small hole near camera battery entry) - but ensuring the plate is tightly screwed down then there is NO movement. An easy and definite 5 star - would definitely recommend.

Decent, could be better - has a cash saving feature too.
Sony a7 mk3 new user and found the camera grip about two fingers too short for my hand. This grip is just about big enough to be comfortable, could be 5mm deeper for perfection with larger hands (6'2" tall male) . The battery access sold me on the design, others you'd have to remove from the tripod mount hole fastening to change battery - that's ridiculous, especially for those trying to earn a living with their camera in live situations. About that access plate then, it's ok, not bad. Could feel a little better engineered and with better fit, but it's serviceable. As for the quality of the rest of the grip, it's some kind of Aluminium alloy and fairly solid, it could have been contoured on the top (camera mating) surface for a better more secure fit, but that would have cost a little more perhaps. The Allen key hex fitting for the mount into the camera tripod thread is good but it's a shame there isn't a recess to clip the key into the unit so it's available whilst out and about. It's annoying they also didn't include a couple of tiny pins to locate (index) into the camera body, that's a trick missed badly as the grip will rotate a little under pressure and I'm monitoring that problem over time when the gear has done some real world work. Unexpected news is that you can use the Spider camera holster pin in any of four possible plate holes to allow usage in their holster system, which would otherwise cost £30 minimum. Best option out there right now, could be improved.Additional edit, three days use - The slide mechanism opened up for no obvious reason meaning it projected an inch or so from the LH side of the base. Not sure why and don't see a function to lock it, so have put a dab of superglue on the interface between one part and t'other. Seem fine now.

having the hinged battery door section is genius
terrific product, sturdy, perfect size to add that essential heft to the A7iii with the icing on the cake being it has a hinged bottom plate with locking mechanism so you can replace the battery if needed in the camera without having to remove the grip - pure genius, this grip is impressive, doesn't add too much weight, provides extra grip and balance, has an ARCA Swiss compatible base plate - highly recommended

Poor quality
The Lennon base plate appears to be of good quality and fits the camera well. However, I fitted a Lennon side expansion bracket to it but despite screwing it on with reasonable tightness the side bracket worked itself loose within a few weeks of use. On tightening the screws one of the thread in bottom plate stripped and the remaining screw worked itself loose and was lost.Supplier doesn't seem to understand the problem, wants a photo (I don't think a photo is going to show a stripped thread inside a hole) despite several emails back and forth.

Perfect for my A9 and big hands!
I was looking for extra grip without ruining the small form factor - this was the perfect solution. One big selling point is the fact that you can access the battery compartment without removing the entire grip.Quality is great - very sturdy!

Does the job very well
Shot a wedding with one of these attached to my camera and I couldn't be happier - Buying another for the 2nd camera.and the ability to get to the battery compartment is the real selling point of this, I had no interest in the other grips as you had to remove them to change batteries.
