Consistently reliable brand
I've always had good luck with Anker brand of cables. I can usually get 2 years out of them with daily use. I have not gotten that longevity out of any other brand,

Far better than the Apple branded cables, but the true value is in the warranty
I love these cables. I’ve been using them ever since another charge cable brand stopped offering a lifetime warranty (about 3 years now). They are extremely high quality materials wise and look nice (if you care about that kind of thing). As far as durability goes these last me about a year in my most heavy use situations, and in lighter use situations, like the charger in the bedroom that stays in one spot, I’ve gotten 3 years out of a single cable. The Apple cables last me 3 months and a year respectively. I abuse my cables, and these keep on going for far longer than I could expect any cable to. Where Anker really shines as a brand though is in their pain-free warranty claims. With other brands when filing a warranty claim I find that I am the one who is usually responsible for return shipping of the product, but Anker sent me a return shipping label via email and even mailed put my new cables as soon as they had confirmation that the old ones had shipped. This meant after putting the broken one in the mail, I had new cables in 3 days. Most warrantied products I’ve filed claims on had a 2 week plus turn around time on warranty claims. If you buy this product, my only request is that you don’t abuse the warranty. Companies with great warranties like LL Bean and REI have had to severely limit their warranty program because people filed warranty claims on products they had ruined or that were 10+ years old. Buy it, file a warranty claim once if it breaks and it’s not your fault, then buy a new set when that set breaks.

Worked fine
Item worked as it should. No problems. My iPhone did not object to non-Apple connector.

Spend the Extra
If your going to spend a thousand dollars on a phone, don’t cheap out on a no name garbage charger. This is one of those times that spending a little extra is worth it. Never had any complaints with Anker products. Plug fits snug. Connection doesn’t fray. Solid product in every way.

Works fine, but metal protector bigger than previous ones.
I asked what long cord my son had, after using his at his home. He stated Anker, and I ordered this and a longer one that he said were like his. These do charge well. But-I was disappointed that I have to take the cover off my phone to have use this one, since the metal surround is just a smidge bigger than his was, apparently. I did not have to remove the case to use his older Anker cords. Hence the 4 stars instead of the 5 stars. That being said, I have an old Otter Defender case, and it may work just fine on newer cases. I do like that metal surround, and the woven cord, since it's much sturdier than the actual iphone white cords that tend to crack or split accidentally, or over time. I recommend this to the general public.
