I’m giving 5 stars because it works as described. BUT I will say that pumping all the air out every time i use it definitely gets annoying takes about 12-15 to get all the air out. Will probably be purchasing an automatic one soon. Good for a cheaper option.

This was great for 2 months and now the seal failed and it is just a container with a lid.Update - company contacted me and made it right. Very pleased.

Keeping your coffee (beans or ground) in this container really keeps it fresh and aromatic. The lid fits into place without turning it onto threads or aligning any slots, and then you repeatedly press the large button to pump excess air out. When it stops coming back up, you've made the seal. The small button releases the vacuum when you want to open it again.Since I keep coffee in it the seal only needs to last until the next day, so I'm not sure how long it will actually hold, but it's probably not indefinite. The outer finish of the steel canister is a nice matte charcoal color with a slight texture for easy grip. The little brush it comes with is basically a pointless waste of plastic, but I suppose you could find some use for it.

Seem to have had held vacuum ok for some time but now after several months and there is no vacuum in it after closing 24h earlier

I've bought 2 of these and had high hopes to have a simple container to store my coffee beans. Unfortunately I found that these 2 containers don't hold their vacuum at all. They work for a few minutes but the air tight seal is not air tight and the lid button, that was depressed to signify a vacuum would pop up after a short time. It looks good and stacks together, but if you're looking for a container to hold a vacuum, these aren't it.

Since it's a rigid container, there's certainly still a lot of air left in the container. I can't independently verify if this is keeping beans fresher than a regular can, but it's well-made and easy to use.

This canister worked well for about 2 months, then it lost its seal and now won't hold a vacuum. Very disappointed since I really wish it would have been more reliable.EDIT: HelpyLife did give me a refund for the canister. Their customer service is very responsive. I really wish this would have lasted much longer as it's a novel product.
