The product includes a clear green light indicator to show it is powered on. It plugs in easily and is very slim so it’s easy to use the pass through plug. The battery lasts for at least an hour. The alarm could be heard a little outside of the house, so it’s plenty loud. It’s a good buy if you have a generator and want to be woken up at night to start it.

Great product and very easy to set up. The only downside is the alarm volume — when used in the garage, it’s not loud enough to hear inside the house (I tested it). If you’re using it indoors, though, it should work perfectly.

Very effective and useful alarm. Alerts immediately when power goes off - essential if you have a generator, as we do. We need this to alert us to a switchover to the generator, so that the main house heat can be turned off, so as not to bog the generator down with too much amperage demand. The other nice things about it are the ability to modify the volume levels, so it doesn't blast your ears off (like some smoke detectors), and a choice of alert sounds. The replacement outlet on the front of it is the icing on the cake. Just plug and play.

Worked as it should. My breaker tripped and I heard the alarm throughout my house. Saved me a lot of money, not having to replace all the stuff in my freezer.

Sure enough, the device is a very good indicator of a power failure! Alarming with sounds and flashes of red lights, it's warning that you shouldn't open the fridge or open the garage, or whatever you have plugged into the device.

I need an alarm that I can place in basement utility space and still hear the alarm in the living areas of my house. This 110 db alarm seemed like an ideal product from my need. When I tested the alarm with my head less than 3 feet from alarm, I was surprised that the maximum volume was not the least bit uncomfortable. Measuring sound level apps on my phone, the volume was 70-80 db. The alarm was unnoticeable from the living areas of my house. For my needs the alarm is not suitable, and I will return it. If you don't need to use the alarm in a remote location, it may be a good choice for you. The device seems to be well made and is very easy to use.

It works well. I got it because I hatch chicks in my incubator and every time there are always a power failure that happens in the critical time of incubating. And always at night when I am sleeping. Most of the time I only wake up an hour after and the temperature of the incubator has already dropped and cause many chicks to die. With this item, I have it in my bedroom and when the power goes out, I can rapidly go and engage the emergency generator. Also you can choose among different chimes and especially you can adjust the volume. This way you can adjust it loud enough to wake you up but not to jolt you out of the bed. I wish I had bought this item years ago.

Quite loud and works perfectly. Choice of various alarm tones. A must for sump pumps.

This thing works great, even if your power flickers it will go off for a few seconds. I have it at bedside so if the power goes out in the middle of the night we are alerted.

Definitely work! Set the one up in the living room the other downstairs for sump pump. Thought I’d choose the menacing Fire truck driver siren. Woke up one night power was down. Let’s just say I’m used to loud sirens but this had me literally jumping out of bed with the “wholly crap” words. Was able to silence them and put auxiliary power to the pump until power was back on. I’m empressed with the unit, not the FD siren ;)
