Will these work with canvas?

I tried with 10 oz waxed canvas and it didn't do a good job, Had to get a hand held puncher that worked better.

Are these stainless steel? Are they rust proof?

Will these work well on punching holes in paper?

They probably will work, but a regular paper hole punch would be faster and would have a container to catch the discards.
