They're not painful to wear immediately, however the large sized magnets were very uncomfortable to wear in the ear and I couldn't leave them on for more than a minute, it wasn't the pressure, but maybe the weight? I had no issues with the smaller sized magnets and those were very usable without any issue.

If you've dealt with keloids, they are no fun. And let's be clear, these things aren't really fun either -- I mean aside from the cute elephant design on the silicone around the magnets. Wearing these does not feel good, because they are STRONG. Which is what you need, but that doesn't make it feel any better.Super strong magnets, silicone cover makes them easy to keep clean. But if you've never tried this sort of thing, be aware that they wear tight and you will feel it after a little while. As you should.Great value for the set, and great magnets for the keloids.

The CauliBuds KeloidBuds Pressure Earrings for Keloids magnets arrived with four felt pads and an alcohol pad. The silicone seemed loose on the magnets when I pulled two of them apart, but intact. I like the little elephants embossed on the positive sides of the magnets.The magnetic force is strong, yet applies only a gentle pressure on the ear. I use a large magnet in back with a small magnet in front. There is no pain from the pressure. Per the instructions you only wear the magnets for 3 hours at a time and then rest for 2 hours, with a target total of 9 hours per day. You repeat this daily routine for 6 months, or as needed.

My desk top is MDF and over an inch thick. The larger magnets can affect each other through the wood. The larger and smaller magnets can affect each other through the palm of my hand. The pressure created in the ear by even the large magnets is very strong, but bearable, and over time one gets used to it. They absolutely help eradicate a fibro-proliferative keloid. Worth every penny.

Pressure therapy has shown promises to reduce Keloids after surgery. These magnets can be used for this purpose.We are getting two pairs of different size magnets, encapsulated in rubber. Also four foam pads that can be used to reduce the magnetic adhesion and resulting pressure.The value here is questionable - $40 for a set that can be had for about a third of that from other sellers. So I would not recommend these particular ones unless money is no object, or a significant discount coupon pops up.
