I bought this to find nails and screws. We tore down a old mobile home and I wanted to make sure it was safe to not only walk on but put my tractor there as well. I found a rusty nail in no time with this thing. It wasn't very far down but it made a lot of noise and the display was accurate as to the depth. It said it was close to the top and it was like a inch or so down. I dug it out with my fingers. It seems to be really sensitive and identifies nails and screws very well. I haven't found a pot of gold yet tho. I think the last metal detector I used had a meter with a needle to indicate metal, old analog thing. This is pretty simple really even tho it has a lot of info on the display. I used the mode it was in when I turned it on and it found nails just fine. It has a lot of features I may never use but I got this because it sounded like it had good sensitivity. I wanted to find nails and screws down to about a foot or so. With the depth indicator, that helps me to know whether or not I want to dig it up. No need digging up a nail that is 2 feet down. The only thing that concerns me is the attachment point for the sensor head. I had to add a couple washers to it because it was deforming the plastic when I tightened up the bolt and nut. I was concerned it might break it over time as one piece was a little to wide to mate up with the other piece. Other than that, I had it put together and powered up in just a few minutes. The maker of this thing may want to adjust where the sensor attaches tho. It may need some adjustment.

We bought this for beach trip last fall. It worked as expected and we did find some junk on the beach. No treasure like the kiddo hoped. Easy to use and a fun way to pass the time on the beach!

For the price point it’s an excellent detector. I encountered frequent reads of silver being pieces of lead left over from coal fires. I also did a read on gold and for some reason 24 carat has different discrimination ranges between the US mint and the Canadian mint and also the purity of gold also has a different standard as well in between the carrot ranges so I found it to be fascinating the way it discriminated metal.

Superb first detector for almost anybody. Lovely ergonomics, Batteries last a decent amount of time, and the detector will give a repeatable numerical indication of the type of target you're on to. Far better value than the price would suggest. Very good sensitivity, easily find coins etc. at 8" plus. Of course there's a bit of a learning curve, but a little bit of practice will get good results.Highly recommended.

Fun to use and worked well for what we wanted. We used it to find the survey pegs to our acreage. We saved hundred of dollars finding them without having to hire a surveyor.

Easy to put together. Easy to understand directions to use. The signal isnt super lound and csn find thisngs pretty well

I would advise to not purchase this detector. It is lightweight but if you even hit your food with it accidentally it will give off a 98 rating. It is very cheaply maid. Bottom detector constantly moves so will not detect. Almost impossible to use. It will show if what’s underground should be like a ring or something according to the instrument. It is always wrong and it is always a can or something. It is a frustrating I do not approve of. Hope this was helpful. Would not purchase. Thank you.

Can't pinpoint sometimes it ends up being 6 inches to the left other times to the right never consistant whatsoever but it'll get ya close nd its cheap but i guess the readout is pretty spot on so there's that...just get a bounty hunter tracker IV

This metal detector is pretty easy to use for a beginner like myself. It's ergonomic and has adjustable lengths to suit any adult height. So far, I've been able to use it for a whole day and it's light enough to carry around the whole time without feeling heavy. The screen is clear and intuitive. There are decent head phones which makes it easier to hear signals in any environment. The shovel is pretty solid and has some tactical features like a saw edge for cutting wood if necessary. The storage bag/backpack is also a nice bonus and feels like it will do the job for a long time. Most of the other competitor offerings don't seem to come with a bag. I've tried the 5 different modes and the battery life seems very good so far. Overall, this is a very good metal detector for beginners at a very good price.

Works well , good and tough and is sturdy .my only suggestion would be to rework The little knob attached to the head The outsides of the swivel are threaded but the shaft itself that connect with the bolt is not. so not matter how much you tighten it the head still moves around freely if you bump something . Maybe this is the design but i feel a bit more firmness with the possibility to move it if pressed hard enough would work better . I personally prefer not having to bend over to correct it or pushing on the ground with the coil seems like a no no . Anyways geeat product dont think its worth $1000 but its definitely worth more than the $120 i paid on sale . Overall very satisfied . The PP option (pinpoint) works very well but is not to be used full time as it will just randomly detect things . Works well once you know the location of an object through the standard mode and then using pp to locate it more accurately . The shovel is very well made and does a great job digging and breaking up the ground just ensure you tighten the threaded sleeve all the way. Anyways hope this review helps ! My package showed up in very good condition and the tool its self was firmly packaged with limited waste materials.
