Great Gym Headphones
Grabbed these at 50% and was not disappointed. I was looking for a decent pair of over-ear headphones to use at the gym after my AirPods decided they no longer liked fitting in my ears on the treadmill. Very happy with them so far; they are comfortable over the ears, no irritation so far which I seem to get with ‘on ear’ headphones like Beats Solo. The ear cup material is also very soft and has decent cushion. I’ve had them on for a few 2 hour gym sessions and whilst I’m a little concerned about the amount of sweat they absorb, that’s really not a worry at this point. Battery life, great so far! Charged a few times, USB C port, can’t really complain so far! Audio? I suppose this part really will be subjective but the ANC function does a good job of keeping out the external gym noises (which can be quite noisy)! There is a Creative App which you can download to tweak the EQ and update firmware, pretty handy. I’ve found they do tend to be quite ‘bassy’ but works well for my music selection and use case. I’ve only used the Bluetooth connectivity so far, but it paired with my iPhone with no issues, to be expected! Does also have a 3.5mm jack and cable included so the options are there! Overall, very very happy with these headphones. The white ones are particularly nice :)

Lower side of earpads sits on my ear lobes.
The 'CREATIVE Zen Hybrid SXFI Wireless Over-ear Headphones with Super X-Fi Technology, Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation' arrived in a branded box that also included a storage pouch, Quick Start Guide, Read Me First booklet, a 3.5mm phono lead, and a USB A to USB C charging cable. Although these headphones are supposedly over ear, I find the lower edge of the ear pads sits on my ear lobes, so not necessarily a perfect seal. It would be nice if the pad sat below the lobe. The controls on the headphones uses small buttons with an identifying symbol recessed, it would be nice if they were unfilled with a contrasting colour to aid readability. Also I do not know but would embossed symbols be a better option for those with limited or no sight. To map the user to get the best from these headphones an assistant is required as it is as good as impossible for the user to take pictures of their own ears as part of the mapping process. In use, pairing the headphones to my Smartphone was an easy task; I have yet to try pairing to the main computer. Once the headphones were configured, switching SXFi on and off via the headphones lets the user experience the effect and I have to say for me some tracks sound better than others. I suspect it will take some time for me to realise the full benefits. As to noise cancellation, passive noise cancellation is relatively good in itself, and the ANC adds to that, the only thing I have yet to test is low bass, as it has been the one that tends to make it through. I do like the fact that metal is used as part of the headband, as I have had some fail due to being all plastic. The hinge for the ear cups is my biggest concern as I have had several brands break at that point which I believe is due to a wider head putting the brackets under more stress, added to the almost 365 days a year usage. It is possible I missed it, but it would be nice if these headphones had built in balance adjustment, this is especially important when two people are listening to one source, and it better accounts for those with hearing loss. It also means that wherever the headphones are used by the same person, they should already have their balance corrected. This is one of the reasons I have stuck with 40 year old wired headphones that not only have individual volume controls for each ear, but independent tone control albeit limited function.

Superb sound. Head mapping and personalised profiles make such a difference.
I have a very varied taste in music and like headphones that can handle all pitches well, not just bass. These headphones are really good at giving a brilliant clarity to all tones and I like how rounded the sound is in all genres of music and also in spoken voice. The construction is good, there has been a lot of thought put into the design, the ear cushions are extremely comfortable, and the positioning of the tilting hinges mean they stay positively in place blocking out external sounds when you want noise cancellation. They are a breeze to set up, I have them paired with my phone and with the Fire Tv cube which I use for films and music. On board controls on the right side are easy to use and work very well. My old headphones have ANC but these have adaptive ANC as well as regular ANC, the adaptive ANC automatically work out the amount of external noise coming in and adjust the ANC accordingly, it works very well. If I am expecting a call on the house phone or a delivery, I use ambient sound so I can hear around me while listening to my music. The Super XFI is outstanding, it opens up the audio to appear all around you, great for movies. I am impressed with the app, there is a huge amount of EQ presets plus you can customise your own. The head mapping is easier if you have a helper, or use a mirror, first time I have ever seen this, nice touch. As well as the app for my Android phone I was happy to see there is also a Windows app too which works perfectly with my laptop, you connect your headphones to the laptop and upload your saved sound profile to get a fully personalised experience, it really enhances the sound. Really happy with these, they sound better than some much more expensive headphones and battery life is fantastic.

Incredibly comfortable, loved the sound quality
This pair of Zen Hybrid SXFI headphones are the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn with the best sound quality. I actually forgot that I was wearing them. They were easy to pair with my iPad initially, then I had to switch that off before it would go into pairing mode again and I linked it to my MacBook. The headphones have a L and R sign inside each earpiece and the controls on the right-hand earpiece. They can be adjusted to fit and the sound can't be heard by anyone else when you're wearing them, perfect for playing music on the move, office, home or hotels. I ordered them for the latter as I miss playing music when I'm away but don't want to disturb anyone at 3am when I'm wide awake in a room with thin walls. I was impressed when I popped into the garden with them on and they still carried on working, around 40' away from my Mac which I hadn't expected so you can use them to listen to music in the garden when the device is left safely inside, away from the sun. I also used them to watch a film and it was like having surround sound, it really added to the experience. The headphones come with a USB-C for charging and a jack, as well as a handy storage bag. You can download an app for extras but I didn't feel the need for my usage. I absolutely love them, the balance was there for me, playing a wide variety of music from rock to classical. They're actually better than any speakers I've ever used, perfect for my needs. Highly recommended, 5*

Not Great
So I kind of really don't like these as they aren't really great at that much and they could have been incredible. So the SXFI is interesting in that it imitates I guess an open back type headphone in that it places you "in" the music and somehow tries to position the music where it would be when recorded. That's probably a bad way to describe it but with music it works really well. Without the SXFI music is muddy and very average sounding so best to use them with this on. The issue is if you are watching Youtube then it makes everything sound WEIRD, so you can't use it for that. For movies it's okay and I am guessing this is because movies are mixed like music so you kind of get a DTS/Atmos like experience. So for Music great, Movies Okay and other content No. The fit and finish of the outer shell is okay, they look like the Sony XM4's which is okay. They have EXTREMELY shallow earcups so the drivers press on your ears and they are almost immediately uncomfortable. I can manage about 10 minutes in them before they hurt too much. I HATE the fact that there are no switches on the earcups and everything is done on button presses. Buttons are fine if you have a small number on each ear but these are all clumped together on one ear so you never know what you are pressing, e.g. on other headphones you have on/off SWITCH, Then one ear has Volume Up/Down Start/Stop and the other is voice assist or whatever. In the box you get the headphones, a 3.5mm cable and a thin and pointless carry bag that offers zero protection. Why no hard/soft case I don't know. Ah yes, the appS, that's right, 2 Apps for these headphones . One for general stuff and another to do things with the SXFI stuff. Why this couldn't all be done in the standard Creative app I don't know. All I know is that I don't want to more Apps for a part of headphones. Overall as you may have gathered these are possibly the worst over ear headphones I have owned and they could have been great if they had just put a little more thought into designing them properly and not leaning on the new gimmick technology

Hard to beat at the price
At first, I wasn’t sure about the colour, but when it arrived I thought it looked great and dare I say it, almost chic. They are also extremely comfortable and very nicely finished. I like the way they can be folded for travel and kept in the supplied case. After fully charging these, they connected via Bluetooth to my Mac mini very easily, taking only a few seconds to be found, and on a side note, I’m grateful that they were identified with a name that is easily recognisable. Some Bluetooth devices have names are totally meaningless and when you have several it becomes a real nuisance. I have been using some Doqaus headphones for a few years now, and I knew they were not top-notch, but I thought they were fairly decent, until I tried these… Despite being a similar weight, these feel lighter on the head and far more comfortable. This is partly down to the rotating ear muffs, so they can find a natural position on the side of my face, rather than being forced. This also allows for the headband to be more flexible, so they are not forced into place. Small points perhaps, but it makes a real difference for extended usage. The sound quality on these is remarkably good. I’m not saying they would outperform £300 headphones from Bose, but they are definitely not disappointing at this price point. Whenever I leave the computer and go downstairs to the kitchen, I’m aware there is a point when the Bluetooth range reaches its limit and starts to fail. For some reason, this is the first time it was absolutely fine, and I thought that was brilliant. The next test was to try the ambient mode, and this was where I was blown away. Just walking around the house, there was little difference, but switching this on while boiling a kettle was jaw dropping. I could still hear the kettle was in use, but the noise was filtered out to an extent that it wasn’t bothering me at all and the podcast seemed absolutely normal. These come with a super x-fi spatial mode, and I am a little more ambivalent about this. It definitely changes the tone and feel, but I have found few cases so far where I actually prefer it. Sometimes it’s helpful, but quite often seemed more tinny, and I just preferred to keep this disabled for the most part, particularly on speech listening to something like a podcast. It may well be different watching a Hollywood blockbuster. Any other negatives? It does take about 7 seconds after switching on before Bluetooth is enabled, which seems a little slow, but I can live with it. Overall, I really like these, and I think they will also help if I am video editing to hear a more faithful rendering of the audio.

Very comfortable and stylish
These headphones are really good. Loved the colour and presentation. Comes with a carry on bag which won't protect them much so keep that in mind. Still very easy to fold and adapt to your space. Great fit and comfortable padding in the head and ears. Easy to charge, connect and use. You can manage your songs easily with this headphone. The sound is quite good just misses a bit of more detail tones but for day to day is really good. Descent isolation of external sounds. For price I think the product is great quality
