I did a ton of research before settling on the latest manscaped trimmer. I was surprised to see all the nay sayers online and on YouTube in the reviews on it but when I researched the products they were promoting all I ever saw was smaller price tags and more attachments. Personally I think they might just be getting paid to knock manscaped since they're sponsored by other brands and likely can't get in on the manscaped marketing budget that used to be quite huge for how artificially popular it was before. In exchange for these smaller price tags and more attachments it seems like you'd be giving up the built in light that helps you spot stray hairs. Type C charging in some cases, battery life in most cases and durability occasionally. Ill admit the light was a pretty big selling point for me and I like being able to use type C chargers for everything since they've been mandated for all phones in the UK. So they're only going to get more popular over time and that kinda future proofs this one. I got the manscape 3.0 about 5 years back when they didn't have a type C charger variant. After so many years my battery started to have a harder time holding a charge and although I'm big on repairing things I figured with all the improvements they've been making it's worth giving the new thing a try. $100 for 5 years ends up being about $1.67/mth which really isn't that bad. The old trimmer still works and it does cut faster than this new super safe version of the 5.0 but I really enjoy having a brighter light, a stronger battery and the multiple attachments. Specifically the foil attachment that mimics a tight razor shave quite well. I think if I could I might have opted for the 3.0 new version with the type C charger just because I'm not a huge fan of the safety on this 5.0 but the case is novel and I like the squared edges on the handle making it less prone to rolling and slightly easier to handle. There's my honest take on it. The 3.0 is probably better if you just want a quick trim once in a while. The 5.0 is more versatile over all and has a nicer feel.

Yo tenía el modelo 3, y después de 4 años de uso dejó de funcionar; asi que decidi comprar la mas nueva y para mi sorpresa, tiene cargador USB C, un estuche de viaje QUE SI sirve y accesorios que garantizan que puedas rasurarte el nepe y el guayabo sin lastimarte. Es muy posible irritarse la piel, pero cortarse como lo podrían llegar a hacer los modelos anteriores es simplemente imposible. La otra cosa que se agradece bastante es que se pueda prender y apagar la luz en la afeitadora. No es la herramienta de trimming perfecta, pero se acerca bastante.
