Excellent product.
This stuff works great! I used it to seal the corners and top joints on my Vermont Castings Intepid II wood stove. It was leaking air badly at those joints, so much that I could not control the flame. But after I used this cement, I was able to shup down the air flow so I use much less wood and can make a load last almost 8 hours! I highly recommend this. You need to be able to seal joints with a caulking gun. The plastic flexible tubes are impossible to apply cement. I also used this product to re-set part of the door gasket and to install a new griddle top gasket. I has a screw on cap that effectively seals the cement from the air so it doesn't dry and harden, at least for the month I've had it stored that way.

Awesome sealant
Needed to seal a fire compartment (wood and drywall) to run some fire experiments and this worked so well. Temperatures were as high as 900°C and it still held.

Burns away into ash!!
I should have listened to other reviews. This stuff burns away and turns into a grey ash like residue and does not seal anything! My area that I sealed is nowhere near the fire either.. nothing but hot smoke going through the area of stove pipe where I sealed…

Specific uses and Easy to apply
This sealant was very easy to use. Though expensive it does work in high temperatures like a fireplace. I used it to seal the annular space opening around the gas pipe penetrating the fireplace wall. It was black in color, perfect to keep it hidden, flows easily so be careful when applying it. I won't know for a few months or more how well it works as this was used in new construction that isn't finishing for a while. Per the instructions it cures upon heating up.
