This is a easy fixed for an older door. Very sturdy after install. Door is 26 years old and now works great.

This appears to be of good construction material, but it was advertised as a universal replacement compatible with all LiftMaster openers built after 1993. Upon installation, I discovered that the bracket was too wide for my purpose, and I could only fit three of the four attachment points onto the door's rib. Nevertheless, it's function was fully satisfactory.

Perfect fit

Worked well to repair my ~40 year old Genie Lift-a-Dor garage door header. A bolt holding the original (different design) header bracket to the wall above the door sheared and the second bolt pulled out of the wall one day... causing the header to fall (luckily it caught on something & only fell a foot or so). I couldn't set new bolts well using the old bracket with the old sheared bolt in place... so I bought and mounted this bracket on a plate of aluminum which I in turn bolted into adjacent studs. This bracket's standoff from the wall (which I learned was somewhat flexible and could be varied a bit) and its 5/16" pin diameter worked well for my header bracket. I had to add spacers to center my narrow header bracket in the longish pin of this bracket... but that was easy. Pleased with the outcome.

I received this header bracket and clevis pin kit today. Unlike the photo in the ad, the clevis pin did *not* have a hole in the end for the ring (or a cotter pin). I had to drill a hole myself (see photo). Fortunately, I have a drill press and good drill bits, so for me, this was more of an inconvenience than a serious problem. With that said, if all I had was a hand drill, I doubt I would have been able to do this. I would have had to send this back for another, losing time in the process. And, I might have received a replacement with exactly the same issue, so I felt it prudent to simply address this issue myself. Other than the clevis pin issue, the bracket is of solid construction and fits my garage door opener perfectly; hence, I’m giving this three stars instead of one.

This part helped repair my Wayne Dalton 9100 Series garage door after the operator bar failed following more than 20 years of use. It fit well and got the door working again.
