This is a must-have for small pizza ovens. In my Solo (and other ovens I've used), the pizza needs to be rotated frequently for even cooking. The peel used to place and remove the pizza is way too big to do this effectively. Because it is bigger than the pizza, using the loading peel to rotate basically guarantees that the bottom of the crust is only on the stone for a fraction of the time the pizza is in the oven. This peel is the perfect size -- large enough to move the pizza but small enough to fit easily in the oven and rotate through the door. It allows me to get in and out quickly and keep that crust on the stone while rotating. The handle is long enough to protect your hand but short enough to maneuver (I got the 7" with regular handle). It assembles quickly and simply with a couple of screws, it's non-stick and easy to clean and it's small enough to store. I liked it so much I got a second one as a gift for a friend who also has an oven. Definitely worthwhile!

Reviewing this about a year after purchase- still works great to turn pizzas in our outdoor oven and has not rusted or flaked.

It performs as advertised. It seems to be Teflon coated, if that's a concern.
