Great Solution for Extended Mirrors
This product was recommended to us by a trailer specialist. We wanted mirrors that were stable, easy to adjust, and easy to install. The Longview mirrors exceeded all of our expectations. We have traveled over 10,000 miles with them and haven't had a problem. In fact, we actually had a mirror swipe with a vehicle who crossed over the lane (head on) and while it knocked the mirror off and broke the class and the clip, the body survived. Rather than having to purchase new unit we just replaced the mirror and the hook.

Ok
Better than the strap on kind that tend to vibrate. The annoying thing with these is the mediocre fit and trying to get the plastic thumb screw on a plastic thread. Not real confident the fasteners will last, but so far so good when finally attached.

Work well if you are gentle with them
These fit my 2003 Chevy express van. I was worried about the reviews of them break and easily. So I was gentle with tightening the plastic connectors. So far they have held up well. I’ve bumped into them a couple of times and they’re still holding solid

Only made it one trip
We used these exactly once... After our first trip, I discovered that the mirror frame had cracked. This mirror has a poor design with a single point of failure. I'm just lucky that it didn't fall off of my vehicle. It is now held together with epoxy and has worked for a second trip, but I am looking for a better solution. The mirrors do vibrate quite a bit at highway speeds, and they are small so they add very little extra visibility. They were helpful to see approaching cars on the highway, but not really for anything else.

Great Look But...
These mirrors fit like advertised and looked like Chevrolet made then for my Express. Drivers side mirror allowed me to see behind the RV I was towing but the Passengers side would not keep it's adjustment. Every time the door was closed, I needed to adjust the mirror and after a short while, just stopped looking at the mirror due to the hassle adjusting it over and over again.

Best option I could find - needs different fastener.
Fits great, isn't quite long enough to see around my camper, but is a definite improvement. Good qualityAgree with other reviewers - really needs a METAL fastener. A major bad decision by the manufacturer. Only a matter of time until the plastic fastener break and your mirror falls onto the road. Seems like the best option that I could find. Be sure and read the directions or you will need 3 people to install.

Hardware is suspect.
I bought these mirrors specifically for towing a travel trailer. They work well once you get them set. Minimal vibration but there is some. What I do not care for is the hardware to fasten the Longviews to the vehicle mirrors. They seem flimsy in my opinion. I am headed out for a two week trip from the the front range of the Rockies to Florida and back so we shall see. We bought the LVT-1700 for a newer Chevy Express 2500.
