Very functional and convenient grip
Pros:-High build quality-Easy install-Just the right amount of extra grip-Hinged cover is convenient and latch is solid-Has multiple mounting holes for attaching tripod plates or strapsCons:-Mounting holes for attachments are off-center and a bit awkwardly positionedI don't consider myself to have a particularly large hand, but my pinky was always hanging off the bottom of the stock camera grip. I never noticed much of a problem, but after getting this grip, there's no way im going back. This grip adds just the right amount of extra height to the A7RII to give your pinky something to rest on.Build quality is high. It's very sturdy aluminum frame and the grip texture is fairly well matched to the stock camera grip texture. It's not an exact match, of course, but it's close.Installation is easy and the hinged battery cover area is very convenient and solidly constructed. There is a small gap between the camera bottom and the top of the hinged battery cover area on the grip, but it's not too noticeable. There are different sized threaded holes on the bottom of the grip to let you attach other accessories such as tripod plates or camera straps. It's a very nice addition, and I'm glad to have it; however, the hole placement is off-center and makes it a little unbalanced to use on a tripod.Overall, a highly recommended addition to the A7 line, and much more reasonably priced than the Sony version.

Works great!
This is a wonderful addition to your Sony A7 series camera. It fits well, is lightweight, retains access to the battery compartment, and really, really improves the grip. I'm just short of 6' and have - I think - average sized hands. I found my grip on the camera to be much more secure than previously. It appears to be durable, but because I just received it, I cannot say - hence, my rating of 3.

Excellent. Get it instead of the Sony grip extender
Got this and the Sony $100 grip extender to compare. The Lennon grip/plate is excellent and a great value! Also solves the problems presented by Sony's grip. The fit and finish isn't quite up to the Sony but very close and surprisingly well made. It is easy to access the battery door with a quick pull of a red button. The grip is just a little shorter then the Sony but still plenty to make a world of difference for ergonomics if you don't have really small hands. The plate is adjustable and slides in to sit flush with the camera body side. It also appears that there is a place to screw in an L plate. One of the best things about it, and biggest downside of the Sony, is that there are 3 different tripod screw holes on the bottom so you can still attach various camera straps/ RapidStrap. See the pictures.

Good grip extension but is not flat
I purchased this to help with the small grip on the a7iii. It works as a grip extension and the arca swiss plate on the bottom is handy, but I'm very disappointed in the design of the product. The middle of the camera is lower in profile than the grip extension so it doesn't allow the camera to sit flat on a surface. If you ever try to prop your camera on a shelf and take a picture, with this grip, you won't be able to do that (unless you post process the angle). Because of this I ended up going with a Stabil L grip instead. It gives me the extension I need while providing a l-bracket for mounting on either axis. So far I'm much happier with that product.

Who says you can't have it all?
I got this just in time to try out on my new A7III and A7RIII. The fit is great, and it adds considerable height to the grip. This allows for a MUCH improved feel when using longer, heavier lenses like my Sigma 135mm Art on the small Sony bodies. A huge plus is the fact that its Arca-Swiss compatible, allowing me to use a tripod as well without removing the entire thing. Also, it's superior to the OEM Sony grip extender, because you have virtually instant access to the battery door by simply pulling the red button. It makes both the Sony Grip Extender and RRS plates obsolete in one fell swoop. Jump in!

Almost perfect.
After installing it, the gripping of the camera is greatly improved. I didn't think it would matter but I really liked the textured/rubber area where your pinky goes. I believe an extender that has no texture or one that is just metal wouldn't feel as secure grip wise. Install was a breeze with the included allen wrench. Accessing the battery compartment is simple. For negatives - there is a tiny gap between the extender and the body. Because its hinged, it wiggles a little bit. Sometimes I felt it holding the camera which in turn made me believe the whole thing was coming loose. Which it wasn't.I don't like charging the batteries in the camera. I do it in a separate charger, so accessing the battery area was important. All other extenders either you have to unscrew the extender off or spin it to access the battery door. Or there are some L brackets that you actually take off the battery door and put it on the L bracket so you can get to the battery. Two issues. (To me) It makes the battery compartment less water proof. Second, L brackets dont have the rubbery grip where you put your pinky. If I charged the battery in camera, I probably would have gotten the Meike extender. The fit looks better. But for this particular extender the positives outweigh the negatives. I give it 4 stars.

Great Alternative to the Sony Grip
I usually add battery grips to my DSLR's for the extra battery life and comfort of the side grip. This was a necessity for the first series of a7's because of the short battery life. The battery in my a7iii lasts so long I no longer need the extra power, but I miss the grip! I looked at the Sony extended grip but it is overly priced and not that comfortable. This product fits the bill nicely. The grip is a nice addition, it folds easily providing access to the battery and I can easily attach my tripod plate. It's a winner!

Excellent Ergonomics
My hands are definitely not big for a guy, probably just below average. But I still always felt that the Sony A7RII needed to be slightly bigger to be perfectly comfortable. That's why I am very glad that I ordered this hand grip.It fits very well and the extra bit of grip is perfect for my pinky and feels like it was built in to the camera, not an added accessory. The only reasons I took one star off was because the left side of the bracket is quite square and angular which can dig into my left hand when its supporting the lens, and also the hex screw doesn't have a retractable D-Ring to help with the tightening (requiring an allen key). I understand that the bracket was designed to be mountable on a tripod which I really appreciate, but it can still be a bit rounded for comfort and also it would look nicer to fit the contours of the camera.Neither of these are big issues though and I would highly recommend this grip for anyone with medium to large hands.
