I’ve been using this La Roche-Posay cleanser in my daily routine and it works really well. My skin is sensitive and has been dealing with breakouts, so I needed something that cleans without stripping my skin. The texture is creamy, it doesn’t foam much, and it leaves my skin feeling clean but still hydrated — not tight. I appreciate that it’s fragrance-free and contains niacinamide and ceramides to support the skin barrier. I use it morning and night and it hasn’t caused any irritation. It’s creamy, fragrance-free, and actually leaves my skin feeling clean without that tight, stripped feeling. The niacinamide + ceramides make it feel more hydrating than most face washes, and it hasn’t irritated my sensitive skin. Only downside: it doesn’t remove heavy makeup by itself, so I double-cleanse on those days.

I start with the IUNIK Calendula Oil Cleanser, then follow with the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser before moving on to the COSRX Snail Mucin Essence, AXIS-Y Artichoke Ampoule, and NACIFIC Facial Cream. It’s the perfect second step in a double cleanse—gentle, effective, and refreshing without being harsh. What I Like: After using an oil-based cleanser, this one adds a light tingling and cooling sensation that makes my skin feel awake. It rinses off cleanly and leaves my face feeling soft, hydrated, and completely refreshed. It’s that kind of “clean” feeling that doesn’t dry you out. I love how well it preps my skin to absorb the essence and ampoule that follow—it really helps bring out that healthy, glowing finish. Would I Recommend It: Absolutely. It’s one of the few cleansers that balances effectiveness with true gentleness. If you’re doing a double cleanse or have sensitive skin that still needs a thorough clean, this one fits perfectly into a consistent routine.

I have combination skin with dry cheeks, and this face cleanser works well for my skin. The texture is milky cream that doesn’t foam at all. It cleans my skin without leaving dryness afterward which I like especially in these drier weather. It’s definitely a gentle formula that is great for everyday use or when my skin is a bit sensitive. However, I noticed the cleansing power is mot powerful. I mean it’s good for morning cleansing, but not strong enough if I have makeup or sunscreen. On those days, I will use a different cleanser for deeper cleaning. To me I think it’s a good option for people who have dry or sensitive skin that want a mild cleanser to maintains the skin’s moisture. And I like that it’s fragrance free and oil free, it does keep my skin balanced after use.

After years of using cleansers that stripped my skin and left my face feeling tight, I wanted to try a cleanser that was gentle and supported my skin barrier. For reference I have fairly sensitive and dry skin and live in a dry climate (Colorado). After trying the La Roche Posay Gentle Cleanser I can attest that it is extremely gentle! It provides minimal cleansing without feeling drying or harsh whatsoever. I was surprised that it didn't lather and it felt like I was rubbing a thick gel around my face. I will say in terms of cleansing power it does do the bare minimum, the formulation feels very basic which can be a pro or con depending on your needs. For me this works well when I double cleanse. I wear makeup and sunscreen, so I oil cleanse first and then use La Roche Posay to remove any residue. I personally don't rely on La Roche Posay to remove anything heavy. But I can see how this simple and gentle formulation is beneficial to anyone who wants to completely avoid irritants. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this to anyone who has really sensitive skin or is trying to repair their skin barrier. It's also a suitable secondary cleanser.

This is by far the best face wash I’ve ever used. It’s so hydrating and doesn’t make my face feel stripped after using it. I am a big fan of La Roche-Posay products and I am so happy I can get them off Amazon! Fragrance free, no oiliness, and no issues with the pump either. All around a great product to implement into your skincare routine!

Doesn't lather,,not so much difference when uses or not... feels the same with just washing with water.
