I'll admit, I've recently bought several new decks of tarot cards! There were so many that caught my eye and I just couldn't decide. This is one of my new favorites...the golden back sides are so shiny and sparkly. And the colors of the major and minor arcana images are stunning! Purples, blues, greens, oranges...all so rich and vivid! The foil back drops shimmer, almost adding movement when you turn the cards from side to side. The artwork is sharp and crisp - the images just pop off the cards and I love them! Because they are made of a thin plastic material, the cards shuffle soooo smoothly. But that also makes them a little slippery when you're taking them out of the box or placing the deck on the table. If you're used to handling paper/cardstock cards, it'll take a little getting used to. But they do feel good in your hands once you acclimate to them. The rigid cardboard box has a magnetic closure and is nice for storage and display. For the price ($12.60 when I bought them), these cards are a great value!! Beautiful to own yourself or give as a gift.

Absolutely gorgeous and easy for me to shuffle. High quality. I'm getting another set for my daughter who reads also. The only short coming is the little book (tiny) but I have a much larger one for rider wait already.

I want to point out I own another tarot deck by the same company. In my photo the cards on the left are this current deck being sold while the ones are the right are the old deck. They made improvements 1) the old deck when you were doing a spread you could tell off the bat if the cards were inverted or not just on the back alone. The new deck is you can’t tell cause of the design. 2) the illustrations are much more easier to read and the title of the card is more visible as shown in the photos. 3) artwork it still very beautiful (which is why I chose my original deck). 4) yes the cards are slippery to work with but over time you’ll get used to it. Overall I love the new deck.

As someone who has owned many traditional Rider Waite tarot decks, I can confidently say this one is something else entirely! The material is top-notch, and the cards shuffle effortlessly, which is essential for smooth readings. These are beautiful cards! Made of sturdy plastic with glittery gold backs and beautifully rendered traditional Rider Waite caricatures. They are waterproof, so spilled drinks won't be a problem, and have a nice matt and thick feel, so I think they will be pretty durable. They come in a lovely black and gold box, which has a magnetic side flap tab opening, so when closed, how to open them is not readily apparent. This is a medium sized deck, larger than a US standard playing card deck, and they are very slick, so they can get away from you quickly, and you will be playing 78 card pickup. Because of these characteristics and the fact that the tarot deck is 78 cards instead of the usual 52/55 US playing cards, I found them difficult to shuffle - it may simply take some practice. We shall see, but I won't be volunteering to be the dealer for a while 😉. The little enclosed book gives a nice history - including a few details on the artist Rider Waite - a description of each card, and a little information on the use of these cards for divination, but no information on the various card games that are commonly played using these decks. You will need to search the internet for playing rules, if you plan to use these cards for games such as Troggu or L’Hombre. I have removed two stars because, as we go into this holiday season, many of you are checking out items to ship directly as gifts - exactly as I am - and you need a warning. I ordered new cards, but received an "open box" set. The previous customer could not figure out the magnetic flap, and tore the box open, opened the cards, packed them back up in the damaged box, and then returned them, and Amazon staff sent this opened, damaged return back out as new. At this price point, It will take me less time and effort to repair the box than it will to go through the hassle of returning them, so I shall keep them for myself. That said, I can't trust that the set I plan to give my Grandson for the holidays would arrive intact due to this shipping staff failure, so I will have to do that gift another way. Happy with the cards, NOT happy with receiving a damaged, previously opened and returned product.

So. Freaking. SHINY... OH MY GOD. I love these cards. The images do not do them justice. I will also say too that they read incredibly well and accurately. I've done probably a dozen or so readings for various friends and they all agree that these cards give them chills with how good they are.

Les cartes sont très belles Mais je n’ai aucun livret d’instruction 😕 et la boîte est de piètre qualité. Elle est arrivé toute brisée, je ne peux pas l’utiliser. Je suis déçu, je ne recommande pas.

O tarot é perfeito, cartas plastificadas, à prova d'água. As imagens estão incríveis, bem melhoradas e super fiéis ao original RWS que era o que eu estava procurando. A minha caixa não veio com defeito como alguns reclamam antes. Podem comprar sem medo e chegou super rápido apesar da importação.

As cartas vieram completas e intactas. A caixa rompeu um dos lados, mas eu já esperava por isso em razão das avaliações e só colei novamente. O tarô é lindo como eu esperava. As cartas realmente são escorregadias e finas, porém com o costume isso fica irrelevante.
