The alarm clock is for my kid,it is loud enough to get him out of bed.The snooze function is helpful.Sometime you want more 5 mins to stay in bed,you just touch the top button,it would ring 5 mins later,and touch any button in the backside to stop the alarm.

I bought three of these talking clocks for my 93-yr old mother who has Glaucoma with continuing loss of vision. She sets one by her bed, by her chair and near her kitchen where she keeps her eye drops. They have really helped her to stay in touch with the time. Unfortunately, she knocked one off to the floor and now the display is partly blackened and no data shows up. Would like to replace, but I got them on the "Deal of the Day" sale, so price is getting prohibitive especially if she drops them. Other than that, they have really been helpful. We have not tried using the alarm settings.
