CAP Olympic 2-Inch Weight Plates, Cast Iron & Rubber Coated

Great plates, easy to grab due to the handles and slim compared to my regular rubber plates. They’re attractive with a shiny metal surface and symmetrical pattern. Decent value for new plates as well.

People get weird about weight, but honestly it's withing tolerance for the listed weight, it's easy to pick up and the price is great, don't worry about getting a fancy plate, weight is weight.

This is for the 4 set of 10s. What can i say about weights besides they're weights. Smooth coating, little foam layers between plates to prevent scratching during transport. No oil so nothing to clean up prior (some brands oil to prevent rust but also a mess to clean). Tbh its what i expected at a good price and even better packing. It felt like opening a russian nesting doll of a box within a box within a box within a box. The reinforced threaded tape was used also so nothing was doing to break out. The holes for the hand are little smaller than my usual plates but not a deal breaker. Olympic > standard always.

I wanted some plates for my Tibialis bar, wrist flexion bar, and eventually just for lifting. I REALLY don't like the idea of building out a weight set that's steel because I can't stand hearing the plates clanking together. The value, though is undeniable, so I bought these. I'm so happy to have them; they work perfectly for my needs; have the slots on them, are super smooth when you do grab them, are easy to carry and hold, and they're thin. If you use these combined with non-steel weights no clanking either! And quite honestly, I find them to be a pretty good-looking weight to have in the home gym. I'd buy these or any others from CAP again if I had the need for more weights.

I was a little reluctant to order these off of Amazon, but they had a really great sale, but I was worried how they were going to ship them and I was very very happily surprised. Yeah they’ll ship most of these big ones individually, but they are packaged very, very well. Very happy with this purchase and the sale price that they had this way you don’t have to go look at every sports store and hope they have it. It just came to my door via UPS.

Unlike many cheap weights, including Caps own standard plates, these were packaged well- they were double-boxed with foam protection & reinforced shipping tape. I ordered two individual 45lb weights, both of which my bathroom scale says weigh in at 45.8lbs. Given that a bathroom scale is not the most accurate device in the world, I'd say these weights are pretty spot on & at the very least consistent in weight between plates. The main criticism of these is that the center olympic-sized hole is a fair bit bigger than it needs to be. This is probably deliberate to make them as compatible as possible with cheaper bars, but they do wobble even on Cap's own trap bar. A decent barbell collar would be a good idea to use with these. The finish isn't terrible nor perfect. It's still better than some cheaper weights and looks nice enough to keep in my main room. If you want brand new weights as cheaply as possible, and to be able to load as many as possible onto a bar, these iron weights are a decent pick.

Very impressive with package and shipping box to protected weight plates . The weight plates look really nice easy grip and smooth edges . Don’t know about the durable yet just got them . Shipping quick and o. Time.
