What time of year should you spray?

This product can be sprayed any time of year. If during the summer an application needs to be made it should be done in early morning or late evening

Is it also good/use on arborvitae trees (aka emerald green tree)?

Yes. It is good for all trees and shrubs

What are the ingredients please

I don’t know what the “other ingredients” are, but it’s 80% mineral oil. I expect the “other” stuff is to keep the oil mixed in with the water you dilute it with.

Does it work against ants?

Not really. There are much more effective ant controls on the market
