I bought this to put on the ends of my hair to help with split ends which I think it is helping a lot. I like the product but the smell is odd...not terrible but definitely not great.

The first time that I tried this product for my heat rash I felt relief, I would definitely order this again.

I initially tested this out as a pre shower oil just so I can get a feel of how the product is without having to commit to having it in my hair for longer that i might have desired. And honestly now its going to become a routine of mine because the results were so good. But also because I'm not fond of the way it smells so putting it on before washing is the best route for me. I've never tried black currant oil before so I researched and the scent is as described its kind of pungent earthy meaty smell which tracks. To me it smells like old leftover turkey. And at the smell alone I was set to not use this again but my hair looked amazing and didn't frizz up the few days between showering. We had a tropical storm and the humidity and wind were intense and my straightened hair didn't coil up like it usually would after being outside. I think I can deal with 30 minutes of the smell if I get shiny low frizz hair for the rest of the week. Plus I think you are supposed to mix with other products so I combined mine with a small amount of scented leave in conditioner from then on. I apply it to dry hair and leave it in at least 15 minutes before I head to the shower. I've used olive oil and coconut oil before as pre wash oil mask and I feel like black currant oil is more penetrating and doesn't make my hair look greasy after shampooing. I think this is definitely worth a try if you are in search of a good oil for this method or even just mixing with shampoo.
