Reasonably good parallel action ruler. Clear plastic with protractor markings printed on the lower surface and not engraved, I expect these will wear off much sooner because of this. Marketed by American company but made in China hence the cheaper production I guess.

Not the same as they used to be
Previous versions of this W&P divider had more heft and felt better in hand because it had smooth curves. This edition has more hard angles and just doesn’t feel as comfortable. Although it’s all metal still, the top design feels cheaper in hand. I’ll keep this as a backup, but am going to look for an older used one instead.

Classic design, practical use
I'm a Sea Scout leader. In an era where GPS rules the seas, we still require math (gasp). These dividers are based on a once-lost design. They're easier to use for new sailors and very helpful if you're holding onto a rail in rolling water. Adjustable tension. Unlacquered brass. Very practical.
